Dealer said "x" - Can somebody confirm...

Featured Replies

1) Nobody has a VRS and if they did they wouldn't be allowed to show you it, much alone let you drive it until 1st August.

2) We can't give you a 'ball park' value of your Limited Edition until you commit to buying - it's at that stage we bring in the second hand guy.

Have a look around as there is a list of dealer with the list of cars that they have to drive. Also i have just read a review on a test drive of a vRS so the dealer is spouting BS.

Which ever dealer it was in the SE, dont go back to them, there are plenty of other dealers around.

You dont say where in the SE you are.

Well I saw a blue vrs estate at a dealer today, it had plates on and was being moved off the forecourt as someone had bought it and didn't want people climbing all over it.

I can confirm that is BS. Visited a dealer on Thursday who had a vRS to view (albeit in the bodyshop as it had a dink on delivery) and was happy to let me look at it so long as HS was adhered to. The dealer was also happy to give me a ballpark figure for my trade in based on assumption. Sounds like a lazy Jay to me.

Rubbish -my local dealership has one in the showroom -I have had a good look round it and it goes out for test drives.

The dealership is probably dealing with a lot of time wasters and is trying to fob people off -in your case it sounds like they've lost a potential customer.

I wouldn't ask a dealer for a ballpark figure for your car. Why don't you do your own research on how much you think it's worth looking up similar examples on Auto Trader etc. Don't beg -you are the customer.

Try looking at this forum - there's not only a list of what cars are at dealers currently but also reviews from members that have driven them so far.

Name and shame as thats utter tosh

Would put me off spending my hard earned in that dealership...test driving one in Glasgow next week.

bin them off and go somewhere else as everyone has already said.

1. Ive test driven a petrol manual today and am taking out a dsg petrol on tuesday

2. got a full price to trade in my old one today against a new pcp. no pressure to buy but I probably will be.

Sounds like b@ll0cks to me - my local dealer has one on the forecourt which I've sat in, and have an appointment to test drive on Tuesday.

Cheers guys, thought so.

They lost my initial purchase when I was changing from my Fabia Vrs to Octavia Vrs (I ended up in Epson), then I took my mate in to look at a Yeti and we ended up in Mansfield(!)

Problem is they are by far the closest as I live not too far away from Gatwick...

Ever noticed the high turnover of sales people in some dealerships?  WHich comes first I wonder?

  1. I am on 1 month's notice so I am going to pi$$ off every potential customer I come into contact with

    OR

Rainworth Skoda has a VRS estate in the showroom. I had a nice sit in it and it would be high on my list if I get the chance to change at some point.

Arbury Skoda in Leamington Spa had a Race Blue vRS Estate in the show room on Friday. Looked lovely. Very very nice with the vRS addenda and Xenon headlights.

As for 2; they gave me a price for my Octavia Elegance estate over the phone (and negotiated on) before they had seen it or I had seen the Superb I brought.

Vote with your feet imo!

Anybody know of any VRS' in any West Yorkshire showrooms? I've got 5 dealers within twenty miles of me and just to save me ringing round them all and getting fobbed off anyone know of any?

DM Keith Leeds had a vrs race blue estate in on Saturday - when I picked my (1.2) race blue estate up from the bodyshop.

DM Keith Huddersfield had a registered one (again race blue estate) in on Sunday - wife thought she had heard them moving it as it had sold.
