Have I made a terrible mistake?!

A bad choice, you really should have gone for the estate :giggle: . The colour is great by the way, would be my second for a vRS after yellow.

That was the choice I had to make too. Went for the bogey over the banana in the end!

Looks wonderful, albeit the alloys aren't to my taste!

Well I think it looks absolutely stunning and the black alloys provide some nice contrast.

A person not afraid to make a statement and proud to be different!

Well done great choice of colour IMHO, contrary to what some may say, colour, is always a subjective personal thing.

I have had more people come up to me in car parks etc and say "I love your car, the colour is awesome"

Never ever with any other car in a standard colour have I had so many great comments.

Great choice of car and Rallye Green will be the new race blue of the future when all the keep it safe bunch wake up :)

Like this (mine is only the old model) :) :)

And no photoshop tweaks, this is how it looks on a sunny day :)

Oh and go into an area where they have new led street lights on at night it glows, totally awesome.

I love mine and love all the looks good(mainly) but some obscure!

:)

Did this come from Murrays in Newton Abbot or PLymouth, and did it have silver wheels originally?  Just curious as they had a rallye green one on stock for several months with a sunroof which was the demo, I told them to order it in as a demo as teh green looked great, but they ordered it with silver wheels and it looked crap, but if this is the one and you have done the wheels black then it looks awesome!!!! :-)

Hi James

Yes it was :)

I had seen it in Plymouth a number of months before in standard trim and really liked the colour but it was close to £20k and way out of my league :(

Just happens I was passing the dealer in July and it was back in Plymouth with the powder coated wheels/tints and closer to £17k.

I gathered it was well overdue being moved off their demonstrator books, so made them a really, really silly offer and walked away with it 2 days later.

Totally love the colour it is so different and think it suits the car well, seen similar green on some other marques and it does not look so good IMHO.

But colour is such a personal thing, that is why there are so many colours on offer.

Looks great on the octy and nice on the fabia.

It's quite like the Mazda green too, which also looks really well on their cars.

Green looks even better on the mk3 than it does on the mk2, it's the colour I would go for.

Not sure if these have been posted before, but found these images of a rallye green hatch - has put my mind at rest about ordering one now!

That does look epic

Just made for the phrase, Green with envy.

If you like it you like it, an acquired taste though as it is quite "Emeraldy", just be prepared for it doing you few favours at trade in time.

I very nearly bought a loaded ex-demo MK2 TSI DSG hatch in that colour not all that long ago, price wise was a bit of a steal but the dealer had it for sale for about 9 months and were clearly struggling to sell it despite the fact it had pretty much every conceivable option on it. I couldnt convince the wife on the colour (i quite liked it and was prepared to do it based on spec alone) so pulled out. Am glad I didnt though now.

No you Ain't, I drive around in a Yellow and Love it  if a green one was available I would have bought it.

Yellow, Green, it's the new race blue or black ( Very common colours )

ENJOY.....

Epic color. I personally love it. I had a clio from new in a very similar color about 11 years ago. I had no regrets with buying it and part ex did not hurt much when I traded it in either. Enjoy it!!

I love the colour too. The police round here (Northampton) have an unmarked vRS mkii in that colour which I saw yesterday.... luckily not with flashing blues in my rear view mirror!
