^^ Will sound EPIC :)

I can vouch for them sounding awesome! ;)

Good find.

Looking good

I'd be tempted to remove the 'BORA' from the bootlid too, even it up and just leave the VW badge in the middle :)

^^^ Me too.

Last year on holiday in the staes I saw LOADS of these.

In particular in Chicago, of course out there they're called Jetta

(Should have been called that here IMO, wonder why they weren't?)

Saw loads of V5s and v6s (small engine out there I suppose?) and a few 1.8Ts

Seemed far more popular out there than the Golf. (rabbit?) of which i saw

maybe 1 of them to every 10 Jettas. It really surprised me... But it may be a heads

up for you Trev if you are looking for specific parts to maybe look at Ebay USA ;)

I was tempted to badge it up as a Jetta, I've already found a us spec boot lid I want but that can wait :)

Yep, they never took the Bora name in the States. They do love the 'Jetta' brand out there, especially as they've never really got the 'hatchback' idea and much prefer a 'sedan' :)

U.S parts are dear over here snd sought after, if that boots a good price get it brought lol

I can't find a tailgate for the golf for love nor money and there crazy money if they do pop up.

This looks great Trevor! I had only just seen this thread. Looking forward to seeing the progress :)

You two can be V6 buddies!

Guess swmbo isnt getting her new kitchen then

My dads got a Mk4 V6 4 Motion Golf. Great car! Sounds fantastic and has been fairly reliable to be honest. Averages 19mpg though....! Look forward to see what you do with it!

Got a couple of bits today, had my armrest retrimmed in black alcantara, and brought a oem sunglasses holder to fit where the drivers grab handle goes, got a new header tank on its way. But next week is where the fun starts....:)

Liking the progress. Would definately go for a full debadge on the back. Mate has a new Jetta - will pinch the badge if you want!!

Do it.

Agree. Then just polish up behind it. May take a few attempts to remove any obvious shadowing, but your chances are good on a silver car :)
