  • Yes, Trevor, we believe you

That looks very sedate considering which oily bits it's got. :)

Lovely Trevor, I had a silver Bora on a 51 reg, but mine was only a 2.0SE 5 speed.

That looks in great nick for age, you never have to wash that colour either.

It never seems to get dirty :p

Great sleeper, wonderful sound! :)

........and its gonna be a long term car I promise :)

Tidy, the v6 noise is awesome :)

Lovely - just the tax and MPG ransom that's the downside!

Is that a non-standard badge on the back too - don't remember them saying 'VR6' on the Bora?

Keep it a while and enjoy it Trev

Its in really good nick externally for a y plate very pleased with it, It's does look good in silver although abit boring :), I do agree with not having to wash it as much as any other colour

I've been made to promise lol though that's been said before, I think I'll look as this as a keeper due to the rarity and engine, I have a little polo as a runaround if needed and if the petrol bills get too much

Yeah I don't know where the vr6 badge came from the golfs say v6 with 4motion underneath, it's gonna come off anyway prefer a cleaner backside, and will add to the stealthiness

Cheers for the comments guys

Lovely looking car.

If it weren't for the fuel bill, I'd love one of these.

Much more stealthy looking than any Golf

First changes today had a old diesel dogbone power flex bush lying around, so that's gone on,

And cleaned the throttle body and reset that,

Update list sounds great as ever Trev.

Remember being tempted by a silver Bora 4Motion with a Milltek about 5 years ago - and the fuel consumption worried me back then! ;)

Sounded bloody brilliant though - more bass and rumble, yet not shouty and obtrusive. Well done in finding one; like you say, they won't have sold all that many!

On that website how many left, there was 250 at its peak and now down to 175ish that are on the road :)

Just fitted de-catted milltek to my vr6.............lovely note ;)

That's pretty rare Trevor.

The only thing that bothered me about these was the 'wood'

mine had a sort of OEM sporty carbonish looking trim where yours has wood.

IMO the wood looks a bit wrong on this kind of car. But the other colour

bits should be easy enough to source, It would look nice if it wasn't so brown

and had that kind of grey looking 'wood' you see in some bimmers...

The wood was an unfortunate VW choice, I have to say. Could always be wrapped :)

I'd rather have standard black plastic then the wood lol I've got some spare 3m carbon wrap here so will prob wrap it see what it looks like, can get a full set of oem inner handles for £50 so then would only need the stereo surround etc doing, and a new gear knob

It says there's around 4.3k golfs with the same engine about so the bora is rare indeed, but it means parts are plentiful :)

Yep wood was a poor choice just like in the l&k octy with beige interior and wood trim lol

Looks like a nice clean example

Least the L&K wasn't the quickest/biggest engined they did, unlike the Bora.

You'd think they'd have used a metal effect trim, or anything else apart from wood :D

Ah well, gives you something to change Trev.

I'm saying nothing.... :P

Yeah, the font looks annoyingly non-OEM - but maybe that's just my OCD....

Not keen on the bobbly plastic either, ill keep An eye out for a oem leather one cheers

Sleeper! Please add turbos.
