car failed its MOT

Recommended Posts

Plenty of online tyre emporiums.

I've used oponeo and camskill and been pleased. Find a local mobile tyre fitter and jobs a good 'un.

Mines got advisories on both CV boots but its lowered so I was kinda expecting it (and its done 85k). Will get them changed at the next service which I need to get sorted in the next few weeks.

As for tyre places, online is all fine and dandy but the little one-man-band shop down the road from me beat any online price and included fitting.

on a cv boot -.-

also what would cause sawtoothing on 1 tyre and  are there any sites i can get tyres at trade prices?

Geometric set up was changed on the mk2 vrs due to sawtooth wear on tyres. My tyres only lasted about 10k due to this, had the geometry changed to the new recommended settings and the new tyres have done 6k already with virtually no visible wear.

i found that out  after a google search, just had 4 dunlops fitted by a friend for £160, hes taking a loss but its to help me out what a good frined he is, then he remembered he needs a engine swap in a senic and im to give him a hand -.-

the camber was well off on the sawtoothed tyre but the other side was fine, will see how long these last

also i recomend the trade parts specialist, full service kit for my car including the cv boot was less than a ton, was gob smacked lol

+1

Our local indy (a little more established than your average one-man-band) has always been competitive against the online sellers- and that's without even requesting or mentioning a price match!

Hi Phil - would you mind letting me have your mate's number? I'm in Exeter too and can't seem to find anywhere that'll fit two mid range tyres to my Octy for under £200 :(

I'm not expecting the sort of deal he did for you obviously but any saving would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

Steve
