Hi I'm currently looking at hybrid PD150 turbos.

Do any of you guys run the Turbo Dynamics PD150 stage2 MD376?

What mods are you running and what power and torque did you make?

And who did you get it mapped by?

And any views or opinions on the characteristics of the turbo would be welcome.

I've got one, mods and power in sig below.

 

Nothing below 1500rpm, power comes on strong from 2,000 all the way to red line.

Cheers Trebormint. I was aiming for around the 220bhp figure as any more iv read the standard injectors aren't up to the injection duty cycle, being too long.

Plus I don't want it really smokey either.

I'm going to get mine mapped by Jabbasport too ;-)

How much they selling the turbo for and is it I detect bolt on?

As regards to the graph, help me understand it better, what's with the dips? Is it normal?

The torque falls away after the peak, then goes up again slightly around 3,500 then falls away again.  It's a bit unusual to get a torque increase after it peaks though.

On the blue lines?  

There are two lines which look like they cross and it's difficult to tell which is which.....  They are definitely not smooth though, at least not from my experience.

This is the way I interpet it.  Red/Orange same run, Two blues, same run?  There is definitely a dip in the red still which isn't ideal.

Ha lol my bad, I read the graph wrong. Looks a lot better on Jason's.

The light blue is an OK BHP plot - but the dip and small rise on the red & orange ones still concerns me a little bit.

Does anybody know if a Gt2052v will bolt straight on to my vrs?

What kinda work we talking?

Custom manifold, intake pipe, intercooler piping, maybe new oil lines, custom downpipe

Sorry for blocking up this thread is this a definite that a will need them av got a front mount so the pipes are sorted!

Yeah, that turbo comes from a Passat/a4 iirc so will need a fair bit of fan work.
