Limp mode on 2.0l TDi 58 plate

Help

In the past 24hrs my car has suddenly decided to drop into limp mode. Car is a 2l tdi 140bhp version with 56k on the clock. The DPF light came on on Saturday but it cleared on Monday during a long motorway run. The car wasn't driven on Sunday.

I brought it to a local garage and after checking the engine diagnostics they performed a "re-gen" on the DPF and reset the faults. However when I picked it up again this evening after a few mins of driving it dropped back into limp mode.

The faults now point to a faulty sensor according to the diagnostics.

Is there anything that I can do/suggest tomorrow when I get it back to him?

DPF pressure sensor, very common fault. Easy to replace if you have access to VCDS, if you don't then its a dealer job. The replacement sensor requires adaption to learn how full the DPF is from scratch, hence the need for VCDS.

I replaced the sensor on my old PD140 MK2, there is a thread I started with the required VCDS coding to start the adaption.
