DRL replacement bulbs

Featured Replies

Has anybody managed to change the P13w DRL bulbs with LED ones yet successfully, without cutting the wiring harness or putting resistors in.

I would like to change mine for LED's but don't want to break my nice new Yeti.

There have been a few threads on this matter, and I believe that the final result was that even the ones advertised by SuperSkoda needed resistors fitted, although they state they aren't needed.

I put up with the fault indicator. I can't see the point of fitting low wattage led bulbs if you have to increase the wattage by putting a resistor in circuit. I'm sure it's possible to code the ecu to ignore the faults in the same way that they have to on the Octavia vRs with LEDs, but I've not worked out how to do it yet.

I don't believe that anybody installs LED DRL bulbs in order to save energy.
