Hi,

Please can someone help,

My Engine is very loud and almost sounds like a tracktor lol. Im guessing there is a hole in my exhaust as my mechanic suggested and he said it was the flex pipe. but the price he is quoting me is way out of my budget (£200).

can someone tell me an easier way to fix the problem and if someone has experienced this before.

thankyou

Sounds like a lot for something fairly simple, although I'm not sure exactly which pipe this is but sounds like an intermediate pipe of some kind.

Probably this and at the catalyst

Saving getting your hands dirty, why are you restricting your garage to just one ? Try another for an independant advice and you can always look up a decent one on the good garage guide.

I would have thought around £100 would be more reasonable, although if you can get the car in the air it doesn't actually look that difficult to get to IMO. Why has it suddenly gone ? Not just had an MOT from a dodgy garage have you lol
