Skoda Octavia vRS MK1 Boot Spoiler

Featured Replies

It pains me to be selling this but it doesn't fit :(

I had measured, and double measured, after trying to fit it to the boot of my Skoda Rapid today and finding one bolt hole would go through a part of the boot lid we can't get to I have to sell it.

It was originally from a Black MK1 vRS and I had it resprayed at an approved bodyshop last week.

Located in Tunbridge Wells in Kent.

Looking for £60 collected as it is mint.

Skoda Candy White in colour.

PM me for details or more pictures, I will get one of it in white this afternoon.

Found the original bolts for this today :)

Someone with a Taxi must want to pimp it :D

bond it on with tiger seal/no nails or the like? just a suggestion but would work

What do you mean it doesn't fit? Thats not the british spirit !

You have to make it fit, suggest the usual specialist tools = angle grinder, big hammer and powerdrill fixes anything.

On a more serious note that looks like it would easily fit whats the problem?

he cant get to the bolt holes from the underside of the boot, its probably double skinned where he is placing the spoiler, and doesn't want to drill/cut a new cars boot.

As said, have removed these a number of times, the bolts do indeed secure, but i haven't removed the four bolts from a spoiler and not had to use some major persuasion to get the spoiler off as its bonded from factory underneath. Imo bonding with the right agent would be enough.

I would be drilling the boot an fitting it with bolts personally it looks pretty good proportionally to the rapids boot. No pain no gain im afraid.. If its double skin just get some bolts with extended shanks and use thread lock adhesive.

I would have kept it black as well i like the two tone effect in the photos above

What about drilling straight through the two skins one size that holds the bolt then a grommet and oversize hole for the bolt head to go Through it will look oem+ without the bodge !

It's not the double skin - it's in a part of the boot you just can't get to.

I have thought about bonding it but don't trust it enough - if it can't be bonded and bolted I'm not fitting it - so thanks for the suggestions but it remains for sale at £60.

I am going to order a genuine lip spoiler that us designed for the rapid :)
