Bad way to start a morning.

Well, I had a parcel in the boot of my Golf that I hadnt written an address on, so this morning, I took it out of my boot so i could bring it in and write the address on it. However there was no pen in the house, so I had to retrieve the one from the cabin of my car.

No problem you'd think. Well it was a bit windy this morning. And the reason I have a pen in my car is because I have to fill in a mileage claim form. And on this particular mileage claim form, there is approximately

Jeez Paul - what did you tread in?

Surely this must come to an end soon. Bad luck mate.

PS shut the door next time :P

and that the wall doesn't collapse

Bad luck mate. Just think though if you hadn't have decided to chop the Furby in and get an old Golf then you'd have done the same dumbass thing to a nice shiny Furbula door and then you'd have been really ****ed off.

Glass half empty / full and all that :)

Yeah, I was saying to my mates this morning if I'd done that to the Skud it probably would have put me in a bad mood all day!

I know how you feel, i did much the same thing to a MK3 golf. Friend got out of the back door to go into his house. I decided to turn the car while waiting on him. I hadn't realised it, but he hadn't bothered to close the door. I reversed straight back and caught one of those stupid trees which are planted in pavements full on with the door.

Nothing permanently damaged except for the tree.

I have been getting slagged about it ever since. :o

Reminds me of a mate who's car alarm went off in the night, so he wrapped a towel around himself, and went out to sort it out.

Then it happened. That sitcom moment. The front door blew shut behind him, and he was the only one in the house and he hadn't got any keys apart from his car key. It was 1:30 am, and he knew his housemate would be home from clubbing around 2:30. So he sat in the car wrapped in his towel. It was a bit chilly, so he started the engine and put the radio on loud to keep him awake. Unfortunately, one of the neighbours got was concerned about the "suspicious" car in the street, so she called the cops, who actually responded!

Finding poor old Dan, stuck in his car, wearing just a towel, gave the cops the biggest laugh they'd had for weeks! They hung around until his housemate arrived to vouch for him, then went off chuckling into the night......

You didn't upset a gypsy in the past, did you?!!

You seem to have the worst luck with that car!

I wonder if it's this heat that we're not used to. OK, I can hear MIL laughing even from here :D

I don't know what the statistics are for accidents at this time of year, but there's a fair old bet IMO that "Doh!" was introduced into the Oxford English Dictionary during the summer months... Even I've swapped "Erm" for "Doh" these last few weeks

Hope things improve.

not the same but the security guard damaged my car yesterday morning whilst doing the morning checks, if it was my skud I will have killed him, but is was the rover so I didn't even moan. It has it's advantages having an old banger, you just dont care.

Chin up matey and I hope you have some good luck soon...........euro roll over again ;)

Your not kidding. Last night when I was driving home, a piece of dash near where the peddles are worked its way loose, and so I changed gear, and whats this? Oh, the clutch isnt coming back up

So thats something else I've got to try and sort tonight.
