I think it'd give a heart attack to some folks on here :D

Seriously though, I do look after my kit and cars. But I just don't have the patience for a full on expensive product assault.

I know what your saying, i get a lot of days off work and gives me something to do while I'm off and everyone else is at work and there is some achievement at the end of it. But one big clean a year is no real issue just makes my life easier when it gets its weekly clean :).

Car is looking fantastic Rob, hope your enjoying it marra. It looks 'slammed' on the final side on pic, very nice ;-)

Your just making me jealous now, I remember when I used to spend all my free time detailing my cars and I used to love doing it. But now I have young kids and no way I can get away with it these days lol.

Keep it up bud, while you can lol :-D

Thank you :), yes thats a photoshopped photo did, i put wrong one up but thought aye ho ill leave it no one will notice haha although i have ordered 40mm H&R springs and 10mm spacers for it.

Haha tell me about it do it while i can, iv got all that to come

Nice write-up Rob........you mention "bi-turbo" though?

Is the 184bhp a bi-turbo?  I wasn't aware it was?

Looks great, Are they 18" wheels ?

Actually it isn't a bi-turbo. The initial rumors about the GTD engine (and diesel VRS) were that it will use the 180bhp engine from the Amarok, which is bi-turbo. But it didn't materialize... Single turbo on this one. I would've killed for the 8-speed ZF auto on the Amarok though, more than anything else!

Is it not? I was understanding it was, same as the audi engines, vw amarok and transporter, and with it having so little turbo lag on comparison to my mk2 i presumed it was

Not that I know of. It should be easy to check under the hood, turbos and their ducting aren't easy to hide. ;)

There is a large contraption at the rear of the engine but don't think two turbo's reckon one and the dpf or something but cant be sure don't tend to look around haha just clean now and again :)

As good as the engine is the vRS diesel is definitely not a bi-turbo.

Yeah i was told earlier in this thread, just presumed as heard it before release and with audi and vw doing it seemed reasonable thing to think

Hahaha, please don't hate me. Good choice of car though bud. Don't worry if you saw the state of it now you wouldnt be bothered, 1) bonfire sunday night had to park in a muddy field then every morning to work this week it has rained and wet road + muddy countryside road leaves for an extremely muddy scruffy disgrace of a car that i am ashamed to called mine :(. Goes dark way to early.

Bet you cant wait for the motor to come

Vice nice. Looks like you got the 19'" alloys on there. I test drove a VRS with the 18's and one with the 19's and found the latter ruined the ride quality and the road noise increased. They look great but there is a huge compromise for getting them.

Personally i cant tell any difference what so ever with them and I'm glad i didn't listen to anyone that told me different.

Road noise maybe increased but not noticed as have the radio on so doesn't really matter.

But then you also thought the engine was bi-turbo and the sound generator put sound through the speakers, even when you were told different......
