Featured Replies

So the first frost of the winter this morning which got me a little exctied to use my heated screeen for the first time and i'm very impressed, took about 30 seconds to comletely melt a medium-ish frost.

bah! wishing id specced this now but it would have meant killing one of my other options :(

Glad its worked ok for you :)

Excellent. That's one of the things I'm really looking forward to.

Good aren't they?

Looking forward to using mine - haven't had this feature since the 4 years I had a Mondeo - starting in 1995.

Really wanted this option from day one but discovered later it's not available on TSI engines. So either ice scraper or some old bed sheet over the windscreen for me   :wall:

Well my VRS has it (TSI) and it's been available to order in Romania all along... At least we're lucky about some little things in this country. You guys are doing much better in a lot of other respects... :)

Didn't need to use the heated screen this morning but the heated seat was really nice.

Yep - cleared the windscreen in seconds.

I used a kettle full of warm  (not boiling) water. Not only did it clear the screen it also cleared side windows, rear screen and mirrors. A low cost option, although I confess, it only works when at home :giggle:

Also used my heated front screen today for the first time and have to say I'm glad i have a heated front screen again. For me heated front screen and cruise were the first two things I added and absolute must haves.

Heated screen and seats were great this morning

Funny how having driven Ford's, I just take this technology for granted.

This was one of the things I liked about my last Ford but unfortunately not enough on its own for me to stick with Ford. I'm just glad it was an extra on the VRS, I would of paid the £430 cost of the winter pack for the heated screen alone :-)

Heated screen and seats to the rescue for me too this morning, strangely, the side windows did not freeze up though, bonus!

They're great, but can be a risk if you have a chip. Cracked 2 ford screens.

Had the other low cost option..Ready Brek. Warms all over, even leaves a little glow...only works at home though.

I'll have to keep that in mind, cheers :-)

You need help.

Just jealous! :bandit:

Me too...

Just to add it's only unrepaired chips that are an issue.

Get them done ASAP and you'll be fine.

I'm not so sure about that.  Economy is pretty ****ed up at the moment and our politicians are acting like children in a sandbox arguing about who will take the shovel and the bucket  :wall:
