  • Hi all, pleased to announce that problem solved, no more buzzing. Rainworth Skoda found that it was the ambient temperature sensor relay that was reverberating when the actuator was active. They found

  • The best solution is to get rid of the bloody awful thing!

  • It's the sound generator under windshield by the firewall. It vibrates the heck out of you chassis to sound "sporty". I agree it's a crap idea!

Ok I was wrong guys. I just confirmed that the rattle is coming from the interior rear view mirror.

When I hold it down during acceleration in sport mode, the rattle stops. I hope this helps someone in the future.

Taking it down to the dealers shortly to get them to fix it.

PS. I quite like the FAKE note from the sound generator :)

Yesterday I was "upgraded" my sound generator, due to the rattles in VRS mode and hard acceleration about 5000 rpm.

I just put the soft spacers between the holder and accutator. The rattles was caused by vibrations of the both ends of the holder.

I just didn't like the artificial noise it makes, so mine was unplugged within 15 minutes of collecting the car from the dealers!

Deactivation of the "Sport" noise can be done with VCDS within 15 seconds...

So, no need to unplug the unit itself.

If you have access to VCDS, which I don't, hence unplugged.
