Hi all

I thought I'd join you guys seeing as I get my first Skoda this coming weekend. I have a history of VWs and Audis, and currently drive a Polo 6n2. This weekend however, I pick up an Octavia estate, Laurin & Klement edition. I wanted something with a bit of room as other hobbies include RC car racing and helicopter flying.

There are a few things I'd like to do to it, just tidying it up mainly as it's a second hand car so isn't perfect. Will post some pics when I get it.

See you soon

Cheers guys for the welcomes.  I get my car saturday, woohoo.  I'm quite excited.  I bet you've never heard of anyone to be so excited about getting an estate car  .

I will be on the prowl for decent garages in the area too, to do jobs like cam belt/water pump etc.  If any of you have any local recommendations I would be much appreciative.  I hear That JKM in portsmouth do a good job but their prices are a bit high end.

Howdy

I'm also local, and can recommend a nice little garage for all your general work.

I have had a few VAG motors, most recently before my Civic Type R a MK4 golf Tdi and Bora Tdi

With my new Octy VRS i will probably be using JKM as you mentioned.

anybody that uses the word upperer is my friend

there are a few of us in this neck of the woods, i'm presuming you mean RC helicopters because i'm struggling to imagine a chopper in the back of an octy, unless you put it on the roof racks of course :whew:

Yes, RC helicopters, but a real one on the roof would be cool too,  Save me being sat on the bloody Eastern road of an evening :-)
