Citigo tinted glass

Featured Replies

Hi

We are just debating whether or not to add the tinted glass option (sunset glass?) to our 3dr elegance.

Wondered if anyone could post some pics to help us decide:)

We've gone for a 3dr in green and wondered how dark the glass looks against that colour, I'd imagine its a fairly subtle tint?

Definitely go for it IMO

Ive seen a green citigo with tints and the combo looks great

Do a google image search for green citigo

Loads of pics with tints come up

Looks great (even better if you specced black alloys to compliment it ;) )

Is it a tinted covering... or is the glass actually tinted properly?

Its actually the glass thats tinted, not a covering as in aftermarket tints

Not what I'd call subtle! The rear half tinting is really noticeable....glad I've got it. (Actually didn't order it, but car arrived 11 weeks later with it...so I wasn't charged for it. Even better!)

I'm wondering whether I should add this to my order for a 5 door Elegance in black.

The wife's yellow CitiGo has the Sunroof and darkend Glass ( Summer Pack )

Looks very nice

I have a black 5dr Elegance and have tinted windows. I was dreading the van look but mine aren't too dark.

I think they is some pictures on here somewhere, but when I find a decent picture I put one up.

EDIT: Look in my gallery for some photos

Ahhh yes...Greenstripe's got one

Well done Mick

Yes the tints I like, keeps the rear a little more private from peering eyes. For the price I went for it. Not made my mind up yet whether it's actually tinted glass or film over the standard glass, at a guess the latter.

Thanks for all the response :) I have seen the pics on google but you can never be too sure how much photoshop the official skoda pics have had!

Seems to look much darker on the white and red of a sport but more subtle on the lighter colours.  Think we will have it, long story but dealer is throwing in the tinted glass and convenience pack to make up for a mess up that they made, so we were wondering if to take them purely on grounds of if we like the look rather than cost. It seems they look pretty cool and i suppose there would be some practical benefit in reducing glare from headlights behind you?

I tried specing black Auriga alloys for my green Citigo when I ordered it but was told not available as an 'upgrade'.

Us Sport owners already have it :)

But seriously tints do look nice on the Citigo.

As Damo said. Iv got the black sport and I think the tints are great. They help with my little man so the sun isnt as bright.

I like the look :-)

Another bonus is that the tinted windows do help dim other peoples headlights especially xenon lights :-)

The wife's black Elegance has the dark windows I think it looks coolynysuta5.jpg

May be a funny question!

I'm about to purchase a Citigo which has a sunroof, which comes with sunset glass.

Personally I do not want the sunset glass... is it possible to remove the 'film' ? On an old car I carefully removed the dark tinted aided with a hairdryer etc.

You may want the tints on the sunroof, sometimes we get sun in this country and it would be a little warm on the old barnet with clear glass.

I've still don't know if it's actually tinted glass or film on the Citigo.

I'd be absoloutely horrified to find out that it was 'film' when I'd paid £650 for the Summer Pack (sunroof/sunset glass) but luckily I haven't noticed any air bubbles/peeling etc yet though, thank goodness.

It is glass, not film
