skoda pickup help

Featured Replies

hi, I know this has probably been asked heaps on here and not sure if this is the right section or not so sorry in advance,

I am having trouble finding out what coilovers fit my pick-up, its a 1.6 MPI if that helps any, I've searched ebay and can only find 35/30mm springs which ain't even close to how low I want it, what other cars share the suspension setup as I dont know anything about skodas

any help would be greatly appriciated

The information you need is defo on here, do a forum search and you will have more than enough info!

Mk1 ford focus coilovers can be made to fit on the front with a bit of jiggery pokery, on the rears you are better off using proper springs if you want to carry anything in the back, the rear springs from a v8 Audi a8 area a good choice.

thanks for that, will need to try that

Sorry to hijack. Do standard Focus struts fit? Thinking shocks and springs might be preferable over coilies for a smoothish ride.

They do kind of, the focus struts are a weeny bit too big for the skoda uprights so they are a really tight press fit, plus the thread on top of the damper is a little bit too too short but it does work... You would be better off machining the bore in the uprights to a larger size to accept the for struts.. Or in your case just using the skoda oem ones. Can't think of why you would want to change them really.

I'm after lows at a reasonable price without the back pain coilies give me.

Get some lowering springs then??
