Other colours Skoda should do...

Featured Replies

Why can't Skoda do a Met Burnt Orange that would look great on a Octavia vRS with a black pack & sunset glass

Metallic "Cadbury" purple.

In the 1970s I had a metallic 'purple velvet' Ford Cortina with a white triple 'go-faster' stripe.  Slightly lighter purple than 'Cadbury'  purple. The colour was the best thing about the car.  Would have that colour again - distinctive without being garish.

They can, but they choose not too cos it would look really bad! You'd have to be pretty desperate for attention to buy a family hatchback in orange.

Wouldn't be popular with most maybe but I liked the solid petrol green of my old x reg Octavia I or the Dynamic blue (having also had the dark pacific blue I prefer this lighter shade). There is a distinct lack of solid colour choice in the Skoda line up and there has been for a quite while.

How is that any different to bright yellow or green?

A decent burnt orange or deep cherry red would be far better than Rio red IMO.

It's not, they're both **** too, they give the car a really bad image.

They aren't my cup of tea, but the point is that skoda do have some fairly controversial colours on the Octy, so why not one more.

A nice "Diablo Red" like the Peugeot's do, British Racing Green, then there's that really nice almost Indigo Blue that Ford do.

That's a pretty harsh statement if you don't mind me saying so.

Or that lovely beige colour they did the Maxi, Montego, Princess etc in.

Oh, hang on they do a metallic version of it LOL

Purple is a big yes, something similar to the old MK3 Golf VR6 Mulberry would be good.

Obv there should be more brown and less blue options  :giggle:

Like Vanquish brown

That looks like a nice colour... nice car too...!!

I really like the idea of a metallic burnt orange / solid Cadburys Purple as choice in the range.

I am currently awaiting a delivery of a Sprint Yellow Estate, i feel that the new Skoda look the best in there vRS only colours IMHO.

I understand that these colours are not for all, but if your going to get the range topping car then why not have it in something different.

Not all cars look good in a vivid colour i agree, but it can be difficult to find a decent car that you buy that is available in anything other then Grey, Black or white.

I do think that the new vRS is great in white, but i have nothing against anybodies choice of colour, its just a shame that at times we are now a mass group of people that want to play safe as it may cause others offence or may cost you a small amount of money at the end.

I have always found with Skoda that it is difficult to find a Yellow vRS as the few people that do get them, keep them or they are sold almost immediately once they come into a dealers.

I do not feel the need to be looked at nor have any hang ups with regards to the colour of car that I buy, but i just like bright vibrant colours and think its great that there is a car company willing to be brave with colour choices.

What about those odd ones that seem to change colour as you change your position around the car, I've seen different variations of it, some on brown cars others on lighter colour ones.
