mk1 fabia vrs uprated turbo help/sleeper

Featured Replies

Been thinking of starting a project car to be precise a fabia 1.9 tdi sleeper maybe in the estate form for more sleeperness (if that is correct).

I was wondering who has had bigger turbos put on thers fabia's and wondered what the experience was like how much were support mods as i guess things like tbe clutch etc would have to be swapped out for a beefier version also potentially limiting first and second gears.

Thanks in advance :)

The limiting is all in the mapping

There's a GTB2566vk hybrid turbo bolted to the engine in my Y plate TDI  :D

Was it self installed or done by a garage? What support mods? Obviously a remap!

Depends how good your mechanical is, and if your willing to try it, I did mine basically by myself with not a lot of knowledge..

What support mods did you use mate?

I'm guessing you'd need front mount, turbo back exhaust, clutch/flywheel (possibly smf), turbo, Remap!, brakes, suspension mods, Nozzles maybe? Depends on turbo and power output too I suppose?

At the moment, im using an, SS FMIC, EGR delete. Custom exhaust system, soon to be changed. Custom remap. Clutch being ordered this week, 6 paddle and SMF.

Edit; Also have big brake upgrade being refurbished now.
