Spacers and Rear / Front ARB

Featured Replies

that's what i thought...Had a chat with Mike @ Awesome GTI on his webiste and he offered me the H&R ones (13mm though) including the longer bolts for £55.00 per set...that's £110.00. I have also asked for the rear ARB and whiteline one was for £141.11...Looks like i need to find spare £250.00 somewhere... :wall:  :wall:  :wall: :wall:  :wall:  :wall:  :wall:  :wall:

If you buy at Awesome GTI you pay the Awesome tax ....... I use to use AKS Performance as he was the cheapest guy i found and had awesome aftersales support.

I personally wouldnt bother with the whiteline ARB go H&R IMO.

How much did u pay for the H&R one from AKS...? Are they still called AKS Perfoamce or AKS Tuning...?

I found this Eibach set on EBay:

What do you think Guys...?

Yes, AKS Tuning.  My mistake

Also that link is for a front ARB only!!!  and not for front and rear.  Upgrading the front bar on its own will make the car understeer more and thats not good!!

Thanks vRSy...

So your recommendation is to fit rear one only...? What brand is the one you got and how much was it from the AKS...?

Really appreciate your help here all...!!!!'

Either rear on its own or a full front and rear kit.

I thought the link I sent was for the whole kit...oh well. Looks like while set will cost me over £300.00

Now I need to persuade my wife to get these as well as spacers, new black skoda badges, tinted front and rear lights and few other bits...

Yo matty still think you should do 20mm spacers on the rear .

Tinted front lights ..MMmmmm. keep your mods subtle matty .less is more dude..less is more.

I don't want a very dark tints, just between 5-10%. The problem is one of my rear lights has a leak and condensation inside so by tinting both I want to seal the gap as I can't find bloody thing. I think if I tint all using 5-10% these should look good.

Wouldnt bother with Spacers.  The rear ARB will make much more sense for £/gain factor.  You will feel its benefit every day

IMO i would go for spacers first ..get the car looking good first then work on the mods you cant see .

I see. Your avatar is misleading then...

That's my vRS at Mallory Park. Might be misleading but the signature is self explanatory

Got some prices from AKSTunning...The H&R ARB was only £10.00 extra but spacers were much more expensive...15mm for £210.00 for set of 4 but that inc the bolts and locking wheel bolts so...

I really really want to do these mods and think I will start buying one thing each month starting with ARB...Followed by Spacers and then rear axle bushes & front rear axle bushes. I also really want to tint the headlights and rear light but only slightly...Maybe 5/10%...
