FL orders log

I seem to recall that someone has a Metal Grey L&K FL on order......he will be well pleased.

Anyway, so sorry to hear of your disappointment.

I wonder what colour they would have picked for you then, had you not raised the issue with them in the first place?

Last one was meet-up at The Elan Valley Visitors Centre for a coffee, then drove up through the Valley to Claerwen Dam, where we drove the "green lane" along the edge to the end, then drove back again. First one we actually stopped for a picnic at the top before returning.

Next one might be a different route though, and might give the option of a caravan/camping site in Llani, so a chance to socialise first.

Numbers are limited to no more than 6 on the run due to the "Green Lane Code"

Said picnic

Great day out and even had some 'locals' for company :giggle:

Thanks again for organising that run Graham.

One of our favourite day trips is up to the dams, regularly go up sometimes with the picnic or pick up some chips in Rhayader first. Will keep an eye out for further developments. Haven't ordered the rough road package though, is it worth it or not?

Had the RRP on both Yeti's and I've opted for it on the Octavia 150 4x4 I'm now on a prolonged wait for. Not sure how much an Flego will differ from a CSM but the following post if you haven't seen it may be of interest.

Called mine into action a couple of times and it's more secure than the standard sound proof tray.

Outdoor SE 2.0TDI 140 DSG Candy White. Order date. 19/11/13

Naturally, no build date. Salesman estimated mid Feb. delivery, but I guess he knows nothing. Am in no rush and as this will be the 3rd. new Skoda I am aware how long it takes.

Dealer rang today He says it's on for week 3

Shame about metal grey not being available. I liked the look of it. Only reason not choosing it originally was that being a valeter I know just what an absolute pain in the backside dark colours are to look after. I just dont have the time to fully polish it every time its washed. Moon white is on order. Lets hope they don't remove that colour.

Hi all

First post on the forum as never owned a skoda before

I ordered a yeti 2.0 diesel elegance 2wd back on August 15th with the only options of fold flat seat and heated screen

This subsequently missed the original car build date and is now the FL

Anyway, just heard from the dealer that it is available to be picked up mon

Really just wanted people to know that they are obviously now starting to come through

Outdoor Elegance Moon White 1.2 DSG - Ordered September, build date January.

(Originally ordered pre fl Yeti SE back in May but arrived with wrong gear box so got re ordered, which then had to re ordered a second time when FL model was brought in.)

Just spoken to dealer regarding changing the annapurna wheels to origami wheels and changing leather to alcantara interior but apparently I can't due to a price change since ordering. Oh well sure we can live with leather even if it does looks crap in Yetis after a few months.

Was told today that our Yeti (due to be built this week - in wk 49) is in fact already built (as of 1 December) and at the port waiting for dispatch to the UK - we may have it just before Christmas or certainly by New Year!

Just been told that my build date has moved forward a week and is now unconfirmed at Week 2

Picked up the new yeti yesterday

Still getting used to it obviously but a fantastic drive and a good looking car

I was very hesitant about it being a facelift model as I love the original, but I must say it is still a handsome beast!

Sad news.

I have decided to cancel my order due to unreasonable delivery time, and I am impatient, I have just been advised of a build date of wk 9 (1st week of March?), with delivery end March/beginning April.

I was one of the first to order a FL on 7th October (SE 140 DSG), with a wk 50 build date, with an expected early January delivery, but later changed to Elegance 1.2 DSG on 28th Oct.

I was not advised at the time that the change of model would constitute a "new order", otherwise I would have stayed with my original choice. Anyway, not prepared to wait 7 months for a car so took the reluctant decision to cancel and buy elsewhere.

I will most likely regret my decision when I see a Jungle Green one on the road, but am quite pleased with my alternative choice (UK built and in stock). Not going to reveal what it is though, as don't want to read to any possible negative comments, as I have read enough of those already regarding the Facelift.

I assume dealer will take delivery of my cancelled order, so if anyone wants a Jungle Green, Elegance 1.2 TSI DSG with options, then progress Skoda of Bedford may be able to help (ask for Dale).

That is just wrong. I can't believe they run such a bad operation! I wonder whether this is just SkodaUK. I will do some digging over the Christmas, I know of plenty of people working for Skoda. Good luck with whatever you are getting.

On a different note, I hope they will not do the same to me.

I can understand the wish to cancel - I've never waited this long for a new car. A month ago I started to look around again.

Trouble is, after 15 years (!) since I last bought a car, the Yeti ticks all my boxes plus the price I'm paying means anything else is now expensive for a 2nd choice.

We had considered a Citigo as well but the waiting times are just as bad so gave up on that. If Skoda can sell all they produce, why not build some more? Or is the "rarity" supposed to add something? It's still a mass-produced car after all - well perhaps not so much "mass-produced" given the lead times.  :notme:

Enjoy what you've chosen - your choice and who cares about the opinions of others - remember the phrase "opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one".

It's a shame you're leaving the fray, Truthseeker. I wish you well for the future and thank you for the FL info you've provided.

Friends of mine have had an Octy III vRS TDi estate on order. Originally they should have collected it in November, now they have found it might be Wk 5 although at one stage it was Wk 14. More calls to SUK being made and having trawled the Octy forum it seems they are not alone.

It would be interesting what the real problem is - an overly popular marque, dealer quota restrictions, option supply delays etc etc. We read about all of these but are these 'reasons' fact or fiction?

Thanks for all your comments guys. At least I have enjoyed Yeti ownership in the past with my previous Urban model.

I know though that I will return to the fold.

Good luck with your orders.

I shall be keeping an eye on how things are going with you all.

When I asked about the build date lottery for the FL Yeti (based on info on forums like this one), SUK told me dealer quota and option supply were the reasons. Not sure what that means though!

Think option supply means that if you tick a particular option (ie LED rear lights), then if that item is in short supply from a 3rd party supplier, it will hold up production. As I ticked quite a few options, I think that is why my order was delayed.

My new yeti has arrived !!!! In Norway working so can't get it just yet. Waiting will be hellish now !

Top marks to newmarket skoda in stirling,,,, kept me up to date every step of the way despite my constant questions.

Loving the brown now as well, was quite worried that I'd hate it.
