Anybody else got this colour?

Someone posted pics of there's a few weeks back, was an estate, didn't look good at all.

Yay!  Another fan of Sprint Yellow.

Many years ago when I ordered my Mk1 vRS, the wife talked me out of yellow and into having a black one.  And I've lived with that regret ever since...  As and when finances permit me to order my next car, it WILL be diesel, hatchback and VERY yellow!

Don't listen to the haters, yellow rocks!!!

Sprint yellow looks ace.

Not sure about on an estate though.

I went for it on the Rapid and it looked far better than the boring colours. :)

That's a matter of opinion. Yellow rocks actually. Much better than all the "boring" colours as stated above.

That what I love about this forum, within minutes of making a post that's clearly just an opinion someone has to come along with the old "that's your opinion" stating the obvious line..... I'm sure these people just lie in wait to post that.  Amazing!

Glad you like the input of those of us who have yellow to this thread then.

Im always fairly conservative with colour choice, resale is my usual worry. I think if you arent worried about the financial implications or are looking to purchase a car and keep it fairly indefinitely then no problem but its probably fair to say if you took two identical cars but one was yellow and the other black, silver etc the yellow car would book less as its likely going to be more problematic to move on.

Sort of a case in point.....my local dealer nearly sold me a MK2 Rallye Green Octavia vRS TSi DSG hatch ex demo with practically every toy available on it.....would have been a 25k car brand new, they wanted 17k for it at 9 months old (so had run it for 3 months then tried to sell it for 6)....i declined in the end as was worried about the pitfalls of chosing that colour and potentially paying over the odds for it......it got further reduced to 16.5k and then eventually sold but if they got 16k for it i'd be surprised. Needless to say I have not seen them run any wild coloured demo vehicles since.

Thanks for the link to the Estate, looks really good.

Did order an Hatch originally, but IMO was won over by the estates looks and should have ordered that first.

Would have brought my Fabia vRS in Yellow, but there was only 2 for sale at the time and one was massive miles and the other from an small independent dealer many miles form home and completely opposite where i was going to be working at the time.

Brought the lowest mileage Fabia about at the time.

Do not really worry about the impact of the colour choice as TBH, an dealers i have ever spoken to have said that a Yellow vRS does not stay with them long, as plenty of people want them, but people are a little colour safe when it comes to it at times.

If you want to play it that way i think thats fine, but it makes a change i think, to not follow the pack and be brave.

If nothing else as having had a few yellow cars previously, it makes finding the car a hell of a lot easier if nothing else in the car park!!! :-)

Stevesvrs has orderd a MK3 in Sprint Yellow - he also had a Mk2 in the same.

Good colour - excellent when polished and waxed.

Sprint yellow looks ace.

You have a Rapid? Do you still have it??

Forgive my confusion, I know It's been mentioned a few times, but I can't find the build thread

Mines a MK2 FL and it's Yellow, so is the wife's CitiGo, although a different yellow

" What other colour is there to have "

Well, it looks like a taxi to me :)

RACE BLUE of course LOL. If I wasn't such a tight git I'd consider having a banamarama next time as it does look good but the residuals would worry me 'cause you just know what the dealer's going to say after he's sucked air tbrough his teath. Deffo for the brave and deep of pocket.

Ok so my first choice would have been the green, if it was proper in the face like the focus st. The yellow is a great colour and that's the best looking rapid I've seen. As I'm not single we went for the race blue, I think it's probably the right choice long term.....

I would have gone for the new green one... But it's just an oppinion so good luck.

I'd  have a yellow one with black pack, sunset...  need to win lotto, maybe next time for something different

I have silver...

Yellow rocks :D

Bristol Cabs are all blue and driven by complete nutters ;)

I used to a yellow Ford years ago... my mates used to call the colour " Monkey Sick Yellow "    :giggle:
