Gaining interest in a H&R rear anti roll bar group buy.

Featured Replies

Hey.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a group buy for the H&R rarb, it's meant to be better than the whiteline and jabbasport due to it being a bit thicker. it's literally fit and forget as it can't be adjusted etc.

I've never sorted out a group buy before but just seeing who would be up for it so I can get a general number?

Daniel

i would be up for it if you can sort some prices out etc and let me no cheers

Hi Dan,

If you pull up my H&R Group buy info on springs and RARB you will get Alex at AKS Tuning's details.

I was put in contact with Alex by VrSy after he ran a successful Group Buy, I then did the same.

Best thing is Alex can speak to the H&R rep and generally it seems they are happy to include lowering springs farb, rarb and spacers to get your numbers up.

On that note also get as many model's involved as possible, get Fabia's, Octy's, Ibiza's Leon's, Polo's Golf's and even the Yeti Snowmonsters, it will get your numbers up.

Dan, give Alex a call he's a top bloke

Thanks a lot for that! I'll give him a ring when I get chance and see what he says. Cheers Mr S

are they better then the whitline ones you can buy then just cause you can get the whiteline for £155 out of groupbuy

Yes, far better build quality, thicker, stiffer.

No drop links which are a clear weak point

See above

I would be up for this dependant in price

it's not exactly a very good group buy for £155 when you can get them for £156 delivered off eBay lol

If you like exciting in a "head in an aligator's mouth" sort of way, then thicker is the way to go.

IMO:

With standard suspension, the Whiteline should be fine, the Jabba a bit more sporty/lairy.

With lowered/stiffer springs (or coilovers), the the Jabba becomes a safer but still useful bet. With much stiffer setups, the Whiteline may not be effective.

An even stiffer bar is going to be more "Drifty" than needed by the average driver.

I've merely got the Eibach springs/dampers and the Jabba bar. That's about as tail happy as I'd want it. I have to be careful of matching tyres. It's not a great idea to have less capable tyres on the rear end. Especially in the wet/cold, when the limits are lower to start with.

Ide be interested too if the price is right.

I had a jabba rarb on and never noticed a difference with coilovers on. Only made a difference with std suspension.

Okay brill just need to see who's interested and send off a number. Anyone else interested? Will post this inthe fabia 2 ssection too.

Standard suspension with jabba bar and cheap budget tyres on the back = controlable drifting front wheel drive car and a scared crapless passenger :D

+1

I'd be interested depending on price

Are these a straight fit tho? Remember seing one fs that needed some fiddling with?

Whats the thickness?

Jabba is none adjustable fit and forget and although H&R may be thicker it's dependant on material used, I've driven both and just preferred jabbas tbh and although I'm a tad bias now just have another wee look

I'm Interested as long as it's a straight fit and price is right obviously

Interested in this

Excellent :)

Will get a price next Tuesday / wednesday.

Thanks for all those interested :) Hopefully we should get a pretty decent price as i've got a load of interest in the fabia 2 section too

I'm looking at getting one early next year so if the price is right i'll have one if not it'll be the whiteline one for me.

I run white line and wouldn't want any stiffer. The back end ofmine is on the llimit of stable . Any more and you will start worrying about the back end jumping out of you have to slow down in a corner

Think 130 /150 for mine from awsome gti

Can anyone definitely confirm that the mk2 fabia vrs rear arb definitely fits our cars?

I have a reply for the price:

£177.90 RRP - Group Buy £160 with free shipping.

We need 10 people but that includes the fabia 2 section too!

Are people still interested? :)

Cheers

Yes it fits, I ran one.
