Fabia vrs se FOR SALE open to offers

Featured Replies

Hi,

New family member and realisation that the VRS must go for something larger.

Original 2007 VRS SE - limited ed - in excellent condition.  Has a relatively high mileage at 114,000 but bought from a chap that did a 160 mile round trip to work on the motorway so racked up the miles - but the right sort - and I've done 4,000 trouble free miles in just over a year.

Absolutely nothing major to report on outside or inside.  The obligatory and unavoidable normal stone chips to bonnet, a slight left corner bumper scuff (people can t park!) that you have to search to see. Inside, professionally installed pioneer bt 3300 so ready to go for phone, ipod, DVD etc - looks great, updates the cabin, and, of course, happy to give original over as well.

Have a good idea what it is worth and do not expect forecourt price so make a sensible offer for one of the last 1000 made and it would be considered - px possible for the right car (family size but not too dull)

Photos and service history below.

Offers over £4,000 excepted.

cheers

Free advice: You will be struggling with the anti-high mileage lot round here that mistake high mileage for poorly maintained

(usually, its the other way round, poorly maintained low mileage cars lol)

A good few pics etc and lots more details of history etc can help generate interest ?

Also what number is embossed on the seat ? this will allow potential buyers to see who else has owned it on here ?

Lol  i hate people who think like that.

You normally find a car of higher millage is motorway driven and infact alot healthier car. Components also last longer.

Thanks for the advice, will put some photos up tomorrow (was going to take a few today but horrendous weather) and completely understand where you are coming from on high mileage, use to be the same way, Wanted a Vrs and this stood out above others, and when I went to see the owner he was sound, honest, had it from new (and it had replaced a previous fabia VRS!).

Did take straight to my mechanic who put new bushes on as they looked like they were on the way out, added some new fronts tyres and serviced and been perfect.  MOT centre guy remarked on the condition of the car too!  It has not been round the block, if you know what I'm saying.

I'd take a car with 100,000 motorway miles above at 40,000 mile example driven round pot-holed, speed bumped south London any day - that driving ruins cars on a daily basis! Regularly maintained, especially this diesel engine, should be good for many more happy miles.

No 269

Good luck with the sale. I agree about the miles, FSH sat on the motorway. Far better than a low miles car that sat in traffic all its life.

What are you looking for?

Thanks,

Rappy.

Apologies, been busy with new baby and new job  - had to park the sale and thought I'd try keeping it instead.

BUT, having to admit defeat!  The car has to go for something bigger.

Car in S E london.

P.M if interested - offers around 4k considered.

Hi, would you be interested in a p/x for a Renault modus 1.4, 55 plate, 67,000 in metallic black? 5 star ncap rating? Cheers

Thanks for the offer but looking to px for something slightly bigger than a modus.

Definitely agree with the 'good' sort of miles comments.

Could you confirm the when the cambelt was last changed please?

  • 2 weeks later...

Same cambelt/ water pump question from me too.

What number special edition is this also?

It says 269 a but further up ;)

Car is now sold to me.

Pleasure to meet you Rich. Faultless 190 mile journey back. Cleared a few cobwebs and some smoke under acceleration. You could see it had done city running for the past 12 months. Smoke cleared after about 60 miles.

Runs great.

Many thanks

Daz
