  • Got this working fine on mine now, thanks to Triumph61     and have updated the post in the VCDS Adaptations thread.   You need VCP to code the RLFS though until Ross-Tech get this sussed.

Could you detail exactly how to do this? I just need to do this last step and i'm set. :)

Go in to controller 09 and choose coding, you will then see a drop down to select which module to code and you can choose RLFS from the list.

Awesome, thanks, and thanks for the whole thread. Really happy to have coded some extra stuff!  :)

Can you try it after leaving the car an hour - it seems to stop working after about an hour when the databus goes to sleep.

I confirm that on Golf 7 also after 12 hours rain closing is still active and does not stop working. I can also confirm that Coming Home does not work with rain closing coded, while Leaving Home still works. I will try to do some further tests which part of coding process ''breaks'' CH function.

Just reset all of your light settings to factory settings in infotainment. If that doesn't work try 068885 as the code for the RLFS

If it works like on my Superb, the windows wil close after a period of time whether it´s raining or not. Don´t remember if it´s 12 or 24 hours. Quite clever.

No I'm afraid this isn't clever as they say south of the river "AT ALL"

Auto rain closing cuts your cigarette in half if your not carefull, very annoying.

It only works when the ignition is off and the car is locked?

Maybe somebody likes to be locked in the car, smoking while waiting to rain :D .

Thx for you suggestion, will try it.

This did not work on my 2015 Octavia VRS:-(  any ideas what is wrong?

Nothing is wrong. On cars with model year 2015, this cannot be done, due to HW changes.

Which is documented explicitly in the sticky thread in my signature

andyvee, nothing new for the my2015?

No, the RLHS doesn't support rain closing.

The earlier RLFS does.

The only way of getting it to work is by replacing the RLHS with a RLFS.

Hello,

I just wanted to let you know that my car, witch is a my 2016 manufactured in november has got RLFS sensor:

   Slave 2:
   Subsystem 2 - Part No SW: 8U0 955 559 C    HW: 8U0 955 559 B  Labels: 8U0-955-559.CLB
   Component: G397_RLFS  H06 0004
   Serial number: 60868517
   Coding: 00885D

Maybe this is a sign that Skoda will start using the old sensor again.

I will try to code rain closing and report back with my findings.

:o :o :o

That is really interesting.

I did already quite a number of cars MY2016 with production date from the middle of 2015 to just a month ago and sadly all had RLHS :(.

Waiting for your info with interest.

The initial coding is the same as the RLHS though, so it may not be promising.

If you look at the sensor from outside can you see 2 or 6 blue circles?

Still haven't had time to code, but the sensor doesn't resemble any of the two sensors I saw on the forum. Have a look.

Nope, that is different yet again :)

What's the difference between the sensors/how many dot-things they have? Do they do anything difference or produce different results?

Only the original one supports rain closing
