Car looked and went well at the weekend. And it's an awesome colour. Just take care of your helmet. Never ever drop it ! Twice !

Thank you Peter...! I promise I won't drop it again. After second drop I decided it's the best to leave the helmet in the car when cooling down...;)

  • My car was tested on the track today...my handling mods were well worth it. I absolutely loved every minute I spent on the track. Now I'm off to find some track wheels and tyres, new Turbo, New FMIC

  • Pictures of the car as promised but please bear in mind that I hadn't had a chance to clean it yet as I only got back yesterday... :p   How the car looks with Weitec GT Hicon Coilovers:     New

You can strip about 80KG very easily and quickly :)

Apart from the seats, spare wheel, tools what else can I do...? :)

Right have a look at my project thread and you'll see it's just trim and rear sears with spare wheel and tools! I've also removed passenger seat now, take an engine cover off if it's not got air filter too! Half a tank of fuel or less and you're sorted unless you're pushing the boat out and get a bucket seat!

Make sure you have a dump too    every little helps

looking good there Matty! the wheels suit it , especially on the move!

Don't take too much weight out of the rear as it'll make it twitchy, especially in the wet.

Getting weight out of the front gives far more benefit in a front wheel drive diesel.

Unfortunately it's also a lot harder.

I won't...:) apart from the Spare wheel and tool kit I have. At the end of the day this is my daily car...well, for now...;)

Would it be any help leaving wheel and just unhooking the mid weight of rear seats quickly?

Ohh :( at least it will get done soon!! We need some inboard footage from the sport :)

I didn't get any footage from blyton, but i will endevour to do so at how fast tomorow :)

I thought you were very brave starting to do work on the brakes two days before How Fast.

Good to hear it's been put on temporary hold and the car is still fine to use tomorrow.

We're really carefull when we removed the drums and when we found out that something is missing we just had to put everything back together and bleed the brakes. We finished just after 10.00pm...;)

What rear brakes are you going to fit Slotty? I'm looking at the 256mm Octavia conversion..... hell I could upgrade my Octavia rears and transfer that set over.... hmmm decisions decisions.......

Well we have a set from Fabia mk1 vRS but we hub are slighlty different and callipers won't fit (bolt to it) and we probably need to replace the whole rear Axle...
