The time will tell as I'll be doing two track days with the current set up...so far I'm in love with my car again. Really enjoying the handling and braking. The 312mm Set Up made the huge difference. I always brake in the straight line before taking the corners and planning to do the same during the track days...:)

  • Little update...My car looks bit different now. We went to Poland end of August for two weeks holiday. As I have already mentioned I discovered that lacquer is peeling on my Furby. I did try to speak

  • My car was tested on the track today...my handling mods were well worth it. I absolutely loved every minute I spent on the track. Now I'm off to find some track wheels and tyres, new Turbo, New FMIC

  • Pictures of the car as promised but please bear in mind that I hadn't had a chance to clean it yet as I only got back yesterday... :p   How the car looks with Weitec GT Hicon Coilovers:     New

trail braking slotty..... go in faster than you can make it without understeer, then brake REALLY  HARD as you are turning in, FORCING the weight onto the outside wheel turning in until it grips, lifting weight off the back for a cheeky slide around to help with the cornering angle ;)

Your T shirt is true Dave.

Matty if I was you I would just get down to Bedford, line up on track behind Richard and when noone is looking, fit a tow rope to the back of the Yeti vRS. :D

You will more or less be guaranteed second place

Haha...That's a good one Mark...Very good idea and I do tend to have a tow rope in my car...Watch Out Richard...!!!

Sounds like a plan.

Other than the fact it's at Bedford and not Combe.

We can test it at the Bedford one and if it works, go nuts at the Combe...;)

If you edit your Post Richard, noone will ever be the wiser ;)

Guys. Can you please point me in the right direction. I think my engine mount (s) is gone and I need to replace it. Is there only one that I need to buy which is located on the left hand side (when looking at the car form the front)...? I found this on the Euro Car Parts website but not sure if this is the only thing I need to buy...?

Above link was done via my mobile...

There's a gear box mount on the right side of the engine too

So I need to buy two of these then...? Or the other one is totally different...? Pics or linky pretty please...;)

So on Sunday I went to the AmD Rolling Day organized by vrsrs (Rob) and I absulutely loved it...Met few new peeps, saw few nice cars...

Great day, Great Result and I'm really happy with what my car produced...140.3bhp - 255.9 lb/ft...!!!

She was remapped 3 years ago and currently with 106,000 miles on the clock...Not bad, me thinks...

Considering she was 105bhp standard and only mods I have are Stage 1 Remap, PD160 Intake and BMC Performance Filter... :sun:

Happy Happy Happy Chappy... :)

The early power peak on the graph shows just how drivable and quick this car is, despite a stock VRS making a few more bhp at the top your car clearly has more power through most of the rev range where you really need it.

Impressive considering the limited performance modifications.

Still the best looking early mk2 Fabia I've seen too, the colour looked lovely in the sun on Sunday morning. :sun:

She's quick and surprises me every day...It's nice to know what's she's actually running and that I have this extra power through the most of teh range...

It does help in many cases...

I honestly can't wait to test her on track now...!! Looking forward to the National Meet at Blyton, then How Fast Briskoda and Castle Combe in September....!!!!

All penciled in my calendar...!

Just shows how good a remap can be at smoothing out the curve on a pd engine.

Chuffed with my results but shows where that stock map suffers!

Forgot to add this to the thread but my Fabia has new sister...Wife's White CitiGo Sport which I cleaned two weeks ago...
