CG Motorsport - Heavy Duty Performance Clutch Kit Range

Recommended Posts

After working on it throughout December our new Racing clutch kit range is now available.

Finally, we have developed a kit that can take the same power levels as the Sachs SRE / Helix uprated kits at a fraction of the cost.

The kit consists of a heavy duty clutch cover, which comes pre-assembled to the CG Solid Mass flywheel. This kit can hold 360lb / ft of torque on a standard organic plate which means you can eradicate the unpleasant paddle drive feel daily users detest.

However for those wanting to have a pretty bullet proof set up you can opt for a paddle drive plate kit which again matches upto its Sach SRE counter part at a fraction of the price.

We have stock of both styles and the are available to forum members at £550 each delivered.

PM me or leave a message below for more info.

Im after the equivelent to the SRE organic clutch that takes 360lb/ft

i dont want a rattly lightened single mass. I want to use my original G60 solid flywheel

I can tell you that they do a 5 paddle drive plate as they have done one for me , but there are several different solid flywheels so they had to have mine and machine to suit the clutch kit, my flywheel is 9kg and doesn't cause any rattle on idle on a 5 speed box

The power figures are based on Sach's / Helix as all uprated covers add a set figure figure onto stock power capabilities. As ours are engineered in the same way they are as strong as the Helix / Sachs options if that makes sense.

We have fitted this to a Skoda VRs which held down I 350lb / ft no problem. I understand they are on the forum somewhere so hopefully they will see this and jump in with their full spec.

Cheers Andy. Think I'll be purchasing the paddle kit in the near future then.

The helix will hold 400lb/ft all day long, my friend is using one at 280bhp / 400lb/ft, their figure is conservative. Will the CG cope with 400lb/ft?

  • 2 months later...

So how different is this SMF to the standard DMF setup???

I have a Helix 4 paddle clutch in my Escort RS Turbo and i don't mind it to be honest, is this one a 5 paddle????

In the near future i have to change my clutch and i'll at some point get her to stage 2 territory so want something to suit at the right price.

Dave.

Very interested. Will be watching for a review and likely ordering. Whats the warranty like?

Would this clutch be 'right' for a daily commuter of 22 miles each way in some rush hour Canterbury traffic?

Have a read of the thread they started thats in my sig mate

;-)
