Washer the car today and made use of some carbon wrap I had left.

Put the forge dv adapter back on. It's uncouth but I'm liking it for now.

Also came up with a 'parcel shelf' using some mlv I had left over - much quieter in the back! And to get rid of wind noise, I put tape over what I'm assuming is rain deflector lips, on the underside of the wing mirror, which also quietened it down no end! Will get some picks up of these soon.

I like the work on the dark splitter, nice effective aesthetic change there.

Cheers mate! It's peeling a little on the edges so need to give it another go. Probly going to do it gloss black next time round tho.

Also got a bargain off flea bay - audi a3 15" inch alloys for 56quid! With legal tyres!

Trying now to decide what colour to paint em (currently painted black) maybe be brave and go for gold?

Also want to follow in your purchase of spacers, lookin really good on yours sparkly!

New wheels. Need full strip and respray.

Can't decide on the colour though. Want to do a good job of it

as I'll be making fairly frequent trips to Germany so thought a set of 15" will do good for long journeys to keep the noise out and when winter comes, tyres to suit. Should also keep the cost down in nit having to get winters for the gigaros.

On the car for a trial fit. VERY close to the rim and the balance weights but it's clear. Saw a blue mk1 on here where they've faded the wheels blue to silver. Looks really smart so reckon I'm gonna go race blue to black magic.

DSC_0748_zpsj2mqe2wv.jpg

Also picked up a stubby aerial which looks much better then the original

That vinyl wrap is absolutely beautiful! do you mind me asking for a link to this? I'd love to wrap my light covers!

How does that vinyl wrap work exactly?

The work you've done on the appereance of this car is stunning, all small touches but they make suck the difference!

Also the tinted lights I think i'd like to give a shot, i have a black roof and black mirrors so I think maybe it'd pull it off a little better? I've been looking at the black headlights off skoda but at £200 for the set I dont know if I can justify this.

Cheers!

Heres a link to the sort your after - Schotchcal is the proper stuff I think.

I have changed a few thinks recently though, I didn't put the wrap on the lower bumper properly (it got wet) and started peeling a little at the edges. Took it off for now but want to get gloss black wrap rather than the carbon stuff.

Picked up a bit of gloss black wrap to try it out. I think a the minute it does look a bit like Hitler!

I have found a place near to me which only does wrapping so going to pop over to them to see what there like and can do.

Happily, the nice weather allowed me to get back under the car and sort the my middle silencer delete mod out. Which seems to be a popular little mod for the vrs.

Anyways, heres before

And heres now

DSC_0792_zpspdfh5ovg.jpg

Interference fit at each end  - a pipe expander and a blow torch were needed for that. Was a real sod to do mind!

DSC_0777_zpsloqi1cgk.jpg

I used 2.25" SS tube with 1.5mm wall thickness, in three pieces, 2 x 45deg bends and one 750mm straight length.

DSC_0776_zps7cxdztu4.jpg

Cut and welded them together - the hardest part was cutting the tube square so it all lined up to weld. I then realised after when I changed my mind on how I was doing it, that didn't need to weld all three pieces together but never mind.

Very chuffed with it now. Its got nice smooth bends with no leaks and sounds meaty! :l And it cost less then 40 quid all in!

Another wordy update

Have manage to pick up a full 12.12 vcds so I can now add mph readout on the maxi dot, one press unlock, anti hijack and anythimg else that takes me fancy. It will also allow me to see what this bluespark box is up to!

Will also be doing a custom intake setup.

Monte carlo lower front grill trim

Wagner have bought out a new intercooler which is a straight swap with the oem so that is now on my list along with a custom stage 1 to go with the new fmic. :) new job brings new plans :)

Update again,

Got a bluetooth module fitted alongside the dance radio. Programmed with vcds but no steering controls

While I was plugged in I turned on:

Mph readout on on mfd

1 press unlock for all doors

Beeps for lock\unlock

4 winks from the indicators up from 3

Teardrop wipe

Increased steering weight

Also found that fitting the forge bov adapter flags up a 'leak in intake' fault code. Now cleared as it's no longer fitted.

Not sure what else I can change!

Few exterior mods

New indicator bulbs which are very bling

DSC_0944_zpsgbvyzvd_edit_1404999133579_z

Did a bit more with the black vynil again

Another little update.

Checked the air filter last night to find that it was filthy and turned a dark gray. Also, VCDS told me that the oil quality was poor so for me was enough of an excuse for me to do a change. Its not been touched now for 4 months or so which is a good sign of not using oil. :) So today picked up 4 l of castrol 5w30, new oil filter, new airfilter. while i was at the skoda dealers, i also picked up a full set of mud guards. The parts chap said the front ones are generic but the back ones wont fit the VRS estate as he said the bumper was different.......i took em anyway thinking i know best........offered them up to the car in the carpark only to find the all fit perfectly. Part numbers can be provided if anyone needs peace of mind that they are getting ones that will fit.

Anyways, will do all the fitting tonight and will post some pics.

Also thanks to multiskoda for the whiteline rarb. A very easy mod which really does help the back end of the estate out!

Gave it a repaint for more of a stealth look

Looking Good...Really Good...soooo when will we see you on track...? :p

Thanks Slotty, I'd love to get it on a track to use the thing properly but after reading Sharkriders (and others) posts about killing their brakes I don't wanna fork out for a track day and a new set of pads and possibly tyres straight after. My idea is to get the rs ready first so it'll take the ragging no problems - it's just taking a while.

Don't listen to them...Just do it...:) That's what I did, I only replaced the Pads with EBC yellow stuff and brake fluid to ATE Super Blue 4 dot one.

My tyres are normal road ones Vreds Cento and performed well when I was on track...

Didnt like the drop links that came with the whiteline rarb so got these to replace.

20140816_172333_zps6ebhvl5j.jpg

I think they will do the job but not sure. The original links have an extra degree of movement that these dont. But will have to see

New drop links are performing well. Look much neater than the others. Enjoying the lack of roll from the big ass on the estate
