  • Not completely sold on the nose regs for this year either, but some interesting designs came out however can't say Im sold on the ones that are just blatantly appendages (eg TorroRosso or ForceIndia).

What a mental race! On the edge of my seat the whole time fantastic. Hamilton from pit lane to 3rd, Alonso done a great job and I think my driver of the day has to be Ricciardo, just massively impre

So Vettel is going to Ferrari as Alonso exits,  no surprise there.

Yep all kicking off this morning - once one is confirmed the merry-go-round starts up!

As someone on Twitter just put:

Holy crap Batman, Vettel is going to Ferrari and Alonso is leaving, we never saw that coming

On a positive note, I heard that Bianchi is now in a more stable condition, has been brought back to France and is out of his artificial coma :)

"Drive cleaning" ?!? Wow a pun to boot. Not very stereotypical of German drivers. Love Button's eyes too!

Whilst I'd prefer Lewis to win it, I'd hate it to be decided in his favour way too early (Rosberg retirement) making it an anticlimax. I'd probably hate it even more though if Nico won purely based on the double points...

As for Jenson, a cheeky side of me hopes he'd somehow end up "involved in an incident with Nico" should things end up unfairly in Nico's favour. Then when Nico would complain saying what Jenson did wasn't the "British" thing to do, he could retort with pun jokes and sense of humour aren't a "German" thing to do either! :P

Red bull have gone back to the flexible front wings to try and gain an advantage. They got away with it in seasons gone by, but today the stewards have caught them out.

Good. Some morons on Twitter have been mouthing off about the FIA singling Red Bull out. Of course they should be because they broke the rules!

Haha, I think Button is a legend. Perhaps not the greatest but proof that nice guys don't always finish last.

I still think if he's given a car that suits him he'll be up there with the rest of them, he just hates dragging a dog around. If the Mclaren had have been closer to the rest over the past couple of years he'd have been up there. I'd like him to stay in F1 but not with some crappy team, if he leaves Macca then something like endurance racing would suit him, fitness and precision driving. (as others have said)

It would be good if McLaren purchased Caterham or Marussia and ran them as a 'B team' a la Torro Rosso/Red Bull. Then Jenson could stay with Fandango and the children could continue to learn in the b team.

So what's going to happen tomorrow?

I reckon Lewis will go for it in the first lap or 2 but if it doesn't work out he will bide his time until the Mercs have eked out a gap of 20 or so seconds, the final pit stops have been completed and then he will start to lean on Nico. At the end of the day, Lewis can finish 2nd but he will want to win.

I can't see another team getting close to the Mercs so it is for Lewis (or his car) to lose.

I don't think Hamilton will risk too much as second place is OK if Rosberg wins.

Rosberg will want to stay out front while trying to back Hamilton up into the pack.

I agree that he might want to do that but the Mercs are so much faster I doubt he can do that and keep Hamilton behind. I reckon that only a mechanical for Hamilton will allow Rosberg to win the title.

There's lots of talk of what Rosberg could do but in reality he'll have little choice but to drive his own race and hope for the best. Plus if the Williams are quick enough to hassle Lewis and Rosberg is only a second ahead they'll soon be onto him.

That's really good news for Nico just now...

Ah well,  that was that.

Congratulations to Lewis, well deserved.

Good season of racing. Hamilton a deserving winner. Best thing for me is to see Williams back.

+1

Always liked Williams, and pleased after years away towards the back, they're back. Massa and Bottas are both well suited to the team

Awesome that Lewis has won!

Best thing for me was in the interview with Nico at the end. Him saying that Lewis already had the race in the bag despite his problems is a good show of character

Seeing Eddie Jordan getting a custard pie in the face from the Mercedes team has just made my day  :D  :giggle:
