Fabia mk1 VRS bulb upgrade questions.

Featured Replies

Hello, Im interested in upgrading the bulbs on my Fabia to ones that are more white in colour and brighter.

It currently has the yellow candles it comes with as standard.

My question is, will i run the risk of bringing any bulb warning lights up?

Im thinking of changing the number plate lights, front fogs, side lights and headlight bulbs. Does anyone have any the recommend?

I had a friend who recently bought some off ebay very cheaply and they had both blown within 6 months so would rather avoid that.

Many thanks, Matt.

Normal bulbs you can't get better than OSRAM Nightbreaker Gold editions IMO.

Sidelights, i've never gotten ones that are "white" but Philips Blue vision are the closest I got to it.

The rest, LEDs are possible for number plates etc...

Of course you could LED the whole thing with some CREE variants for the dipped and main beam, which i've not seen anyone with yet!

For dipped beam and fog lights, if you're looking to go whiter I'd probably go with the 'Osram Cool Blue Intense'. I used to have these installed prior to my HID / Projector setup and have to say they were pretty good. Colour wasn't so white/ blue that the beam was scattered everywhere, and lit the road up really well.

I use these in my sidelights http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-1w-ULTRA-WHITE-Xenon-High-Power-LED-T10-501-W5W-Sidelight-Bulbs-/270996379859?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f18a498d3

Had them installed now for over a year with no issues

Philips Xtreme after my Osrams both went within a year of fitting.

Upgraded SWMBO s vRS with a pair of hids4u kits, can't speak highly enough of them.
