Springs on new shocks

Featured Replies

Just had new standard shocks put on, if I had really thought about it I would have bought lowering springs and shocks as a set, but could I put lowering springs on standard shocks?

Yes, 25mm drop, I recommend the Eibach Pro Kit springs for standard shocks and so do Skoda.

No reason they won't work on lower either. I have H&R even lower ride, that work okay on (new) standard Sachs shocks.

(besides a lower drop they were over £50 cheaper to buy too)

In fact the only problem I have had with them was due to incorrectly located and sized bump stops but that is another story.

The springs themselves are harsher if anything but nothing wrong with the shocks working with them. So yes definitely possible.

They'll work but the shocks won't be able to control a spring that stiff on rebound, yours must be a bit sketchy on the bumpy stuff domino.

Cheers guys, Yeh was more worried about the ride quality more than anything. What drop have you got on yours domino and you got any pics?

As above, as long as you don't go too low you'll be fine.

Something like the Eibach Pro kit is a great choice.
