Petty theives stealing cheap sterios has gone, these fetch £500 a pop and take take about 15 seconds to rip out!

We super glass around, 5/10 vag vehicles with these sat nav units a week because of this!

We had a customer in last week who had his broken into in one of the long stay car parks in Manchester airport, a guy did 15 of these in as many minuets according to the CCTV!

I hope their pen i ses to bend towards their knees, so they will always pe-e their knees.

Will update once I contact insurance tomorrow morning. Will take a good look at the car checking for damage etc, especially on the dashboard and trim.

 

Driving home in the cold with no radio is chuffing boring! Just the noise of broken glass in the passenger seat. 

Is there a way to advise SUK that it has been stolen and not to provide the code so it can be used in another car? Maybe even trigger a stolen flag if any one was to call them?

Rang insurance direct as its 'only' a window and radio, rather than Skoda Ensurance. How hard can it be!

Was that a columbus or bolero, I know thefts of the Columbus are increasing in the UK. At least one other member has had theirs stolen here, its been a problem in EU mainland for a number of years.

Hi its a Amundsen+ came with the Blackline special edition, sat nav parking radar picture etc

I have the anti tamper torx holding mine in, I know its only a £200 aftermarket one but they see the screen and just have a bash at nicking it.

 

Hope it all gets sorted and don't cost you.

Insurance excess is £250 for the glass and head unit, I'm guessing a new Amundsen+ would be pretty expensive if bought through Skoda.

 

Any ideas how much the headunit retails for (not on ebay!) ---  Amunden+   SATNAV etc

The Police are informing a 'Volkswagen / Audi' action group than can disable the head unit as this type of headunit is on the increase for the VAG group!

 

The unit will come up as stolen if tried to reactivate. 

I do wonder if they use the factory fit sharkfin combined aerial as a marker for factory fit satnavs.

 

Is anyone aware of any being pinched where the car didn't have the gps aerial on the roof ?
