VCDS Mod Options on 2011 Octavia Ambiente

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I have a 2011 Octavia Ambiente and recently managed to get my hands on a VCDS. Have been able to unlock a few of the features such as (1) Needle-staging (2) Cornering Fogs (3) Windshield Washer fluid indicator

I am now trying to enable the following features:

1. Mirror Tilt on Reverse

2. DRLs (replaced std PY21W with 30W LEDs) light up on Unlocking using Remote

3. Both Reverse Fogs (instead of just the single RHS one)

4. Coming Home lights [i don't have the Auto Lights though]

Appreciate your experiences / comments on possibility of enabling the above features. And If you've been able to do it, appreciate your help on the same.

Thanks,

Sanju

1 needs electric seats I think

2 not sure

3 almost certainly can't be done.

4 should be possible if you have auto wipers.

Welcome Sanju.

1. Standard with electric seats, expensive retro-fit if you haven't (Eddie_NL has down it);

2. Don't think that was an option to use DRL's in that way. Its always been the indicators AFAIK

3. One video on net shows it working, but no info on how to. VAS possibly (Not VCDS)?

4. Of sorts - it will be a basic timed interval setting

1. No clue I've tried and failed. (Without electric seats)

2. I am pretty sure that the only way lights come on with unlocking is leaving home and that can only be set to low beam and fogs.

3. When I activated cornering fogs reversing was part of that and they both light up in reverse

But I am from Aus

4. Like someone said above if you manage to find it in vcds it will happen all the time (irrespective of light outside) for whatever amount of time you tell it to.

Hope there's some helpful stuff in there somewhere.
