Go and have a look at a Fabia Estate in the flesh, or a Fabia saloon and ask yourself- "Would I buy one?". IMO Terrible looking cars.....nothing against nice estates (e.g. Passat)

I actually think the Fabia estate is better proportioned than the hatch. (Nicer to look at, not necessarily to live with). But I agree about the saloon - the designer's guide dog's pen must have slipped.

Personally i think the big estates look better... BUT IMO it has to look as if its always been designed that way not just a hatch thats been extened with an extra window.... i.e octavia mk 1 looks great in estate... but the boxy rear end of the passat doesn't.

I can totally see the point of the estate fabia and it must be great having so much room in the fabia.. but i dont like the way the rear hangs, great car though

fabia combi deffinatly does look dynamic if its in the right colour and trim its sleek and differnt compared to boxy back ends i'd have one ...i mean just take a look at the paris design study how lush is that car! amazeing

However no one's mentioned in this thread that Autocar recently published a Scoop Shot of the new Fabia MPV based on the current Fabia platform/design and potentially due to debut at Frankfurt in September - apologies if it's been mentioned elsewhere.

I did buy one; it is arriving this week. I particularly like the echoes of the Merc C-class in the rear; plus the bullet-nose does work better with the longer roofline.

Besides, I bought on function, not form. The hatch's boot is practically non-existant, whereas the estate gives bucketloads of room in a sensibly sized car.

As I said, I find this snobbery bizarre - doubly so on a forum that's supposed to be for all Skoda owners. I would not have thought this the place for such a divisive and alienating comment.

It CANNOT be the Roomster - unless the exciting Concept seen has been TOTALLY watered down. The Autocar Fabia MPV looks VERY LIKE a Fabia - something the Roomster most definitely does not!!!

I'd have had one too. I'm finding the Fabia really too small for the load-lugging that I need a car to do - one thing my 525iSE Touring was fine for.

A vRS Fabia estate would be very nice indeed. That said, I found the 1.9 quite pokey enough, and the insurance is lower.

I'd have one too. I like estate cars, some of them look better than the hatch/saloon equivalent. Id like the Blue Fabia estate in the concept section of the skoda website.
