I was wondering is the airtec coolers on ebay up to the job? got cupra 1 atm got quaiff diff, milltec zaust, hybrid turbo (billet wheel) fully polly bushed, ap suspension, is the gtb2260 turbo the 1 I need? and what injectors and where from? also didn't really want the rattle is there a duel mass clutch kit up to the job and if so where from?

Do we know of a 300bhp plus 8v? One that's in a daily driver or car that looks road car like. meaning I'm discounting Proitec Lupos etc.

Hate to say it/write it but darkside have done 300bhp but on a 16v. A 140bhp BKD Jetta.

Speak to Joel he just got 290bhp recently!

Thought the yellow ibiza darkside did was over 300?

My car is over 300 when I want it to be lol. And it's daily driven, track driven... Still have half a bar of boost to extract as well.

Get it cranked up :)

I was up there the other week and they started it up. . I said that sounds rough. . There reply was yeah but its nearly 350bhp.

One of the lads who works there has a 296bhp fabia. .he says its a handfull haha.

Most of there stuff is around the 300bhp mark I think, there compound charged 4motion golf is mental too. :)

Just had a look. . Dark sides 4motion golf is a 1.9 8v . . 426bhp when the nos is on.

that thing came into my old work.. twin turbo comes straight out the bonnet lol.. its not pretty but it goes!

Its a compound setup tho init, low pressure turbo feeding into a high pressure turbo. .

It dropped a valve at gti international last year. .dunno if theyve rebuilt engine, its just sat in the yard.

Ye little turbo for quick spool up + big turbo for top end.. sounded like a tractor lol

If I could keep temps down or poss better flow through the engine I cant help feel I would be very close to creeping over 300bhp. I could have an additional 1 bar of boost which may or may not help, but for now I want to keep it on the safe side for the turbo :) My build was completed by Dirty Torque.

As Jason says, very possible these days, just depends on how much you want to spend lol. Also bare in mind once running this sort of power it does become a little more than a road car, in the sense of comfort and drive-ability around town.

On the motorway I still see 55-60mpg though :D

Has anyone ported their head? And if so where and how much ? Oh and does it add a gain ?

Jason has.

for more than 270bhp it needs head work

its a fully blown road car m8 I got a 468bhp corsa vxr as a toy but as the fabia standard internals can take it so I thought why not so its a gtb2260 turbo tubular manifold (darkside) injectors (darkside) quaiff diff sorted milltec zaust sorted Porsche brakes sorted what options of clutches are there must I chuck the duel mass???

Sachs SRE clutch is a good comprimise between the single mass rattle (mine ain't bad) and ultimate performance,.

Jabbasport have breathed on my head twice now (and intake manifold to match).  Not sure if they did a good job as no expert in this area, but the engine breathes well.

ive been quoted 1k for a full head build and stage 2 cam by this company http://npsheads.omav.../Products/10003 that's with 400 euros knocked off as we are a vat registered company do they do a duelmass flywheel kit for 300bhp?

I've yet to see any DMF which can cope with serious tuned power. :)  Simply the nature of "two" doesn't seem to work.  "one" is definitely better!    Sometimes when you want serious power, you have to make some comprimises.

Airtec cooler alone won't be enough to keep intake temps down, you will need water/meth injection to get good power consistently.

Joels lost circa 30bhp after his first run on the dyno the other day.

How do people find the clutches at these kind of power levels?

I found mine a bit harsh and wouldn't have wanted to use it for town driving.

Have things come on a bit since two years ago or do people just put up with it?

(or just run a less severe clutch and take it easy...)

That's interesting as my first run at CC Tuning did something like 345bhp, but then it did two consistent runs at 315ish, so I assumed that was the true power on the day. :)
