Dohboys Mk2 Octavia VRS Wagon

Featured Replies

Shouldn't have to take a Dremel to them at all. The correct part numbers are all over the new badges thread and you'll get a pair of badges that fit straight on without removing the locators.

  • Mine fitted straight on too - there is a specific part number you need to use. The one I sent to SNH was the right size, just the locating pegs are in the wrong place. Just snap them off with you thum

  • Thanks dude. Was a sad day seeing the mondeo go! But needs must. Happy with the Octavia so far. Handles nice and pulls well. Needs to be lower than it is tho...

  • Guess what finally arrived from Germany.... Just hope the quality of the Apex product is better than the quality of their customer service and packing skills.

Nice, how low will you go?

Certainly will. Needs new anti-roll bar drop links too... another £50 on the bill!

Did you get them fitted after?

They are all fitted. My mechanic friend had a mare fitting them. Everything seized and a few bodge jobs to sort out. Looks loads better, front still looks a bit high. Ride feels good. Will give it a proper road test tomorrow and hopefully get some pics.

I left mine a little higher to begin with (my rear still needs to be adjusted when I can be bothered to do it) but when they have settled a bit then fettle with them. They may drop a little more when settled and a few miles under the belt.

Not a huge difference, hoping they will settle in a bit more with a few more miles. I'm thinking it could do with another inch off the ride height... Chop the springs??

Do not chop the springs. I hope that was a joke....

Yeah, of course! I'm not one for ruining my ride.

Already sold it... Sorry.

I was considering the h&r kit but looking at your pics it seems they''ve not lowered it that much. Hopefully it settles a bit more for you.

Yeah that's true... Has dropped it a bit, but was hoping for more.

Are there any springs which drop more??

From looking around these seem to be the biggest drop. After that it's coilovers, which is what I'm now looking at. Just want it to sit on top of the tyre.

That's the look I'm after too! Will keep an eye on yours!

I'll get a thread up, but expect slow progress, got another baby due in June and a wedding next year plus saving for a mortgage. But I will try to do as much as I can as quick as I can :)

Plenty of us running coilovers, Im running Weitec Hicon Gt coilovers, Zeb has just bought H&R Coilovers, Si is running FK street coilovers and I think John is running AP coilovers. Plenty of choice for coilovers for the mkII octy. Just depends on your budget.

If you have any questions about the coilovers we all run just message us I am sure we will be happy to help :)
