2015-model

Featured Replies

I too am hoping it has been omitted from the MY15 changes but will in fact be standard on the vRS. The Geneva show had a vRS with FBSW so this also adds weight to this argument. I have asked my dealer for clarity and will report back.

No but, if you order a vRS TDI Estate this week its guaranteed to be a 2015 model.

  • I still don't understand what's so complex and unintuitive about 'SET' and 'RESUME' for the cruise control.

......  Why would you have a super sport steering wheel and not fit it to your sports version?

It's Skoda logic dont you know? ;)

Just got confirmation from my dealer that it is indeed not available on the vRS as of now - but it may still yet change so he will dig a bit more and let me know. Just seems insane that the vRS wouldn't get the 'sporty' wheel but the SE/Elegance does! Especially as they can do it per the Geneva pics.

I'm just glad I'm not going to be missing out on anything major.  I can cope with a change of cup holder!

That's very kind but don't jeopardise your position by posting something that's not meant for release yet. Well, not on here anyway. Flog them to Auto Express as a scoop instead :giggle:

Agree, I doubt Skoda would be overly impressed with this info being leaked by their own staff unless of course its sanctioned and intentional.

The link above is from my dealer, so I'm thinking this is public knowledge now.

£440 increase on all vRS models?

Maybe make it difficult for anyone looking for refunds on cruise options that are now standard.

Edit: Is this a new price rise or still the January one?

What does "Customer-tagged orders" mean (pdf first page (link above)?

Cars ordered for a specific customer rather than showroom stock n

Possibly an ommission of vRS on the MY15 notes since its avaiable on Citigo (SE & Elegence), Rapid (SE & Elegence), Yeti (SE & Elegence). They just forgot about vRS and copied in Octavia (SE & Elegence).

Maybe they dont have them in silver/red stiching yet? or more likley the have a healthy stock of round steering wheels with vRS stitching? Geneva was a show car so could easily have a sample wheel with red stitching.

Seem like changes just for the sake of it. Largely pointless.

Yes, the vRS does go up £440 - my dealer is still working on refunding my the cruise regardless... I think this may end up being a case by case basis depending on your dealer. It's a new price rise as I understand it from my dealer this morning.

Nice so future vRS owners get cruise but pay more than twice the option amount for the privilege!

Funny I disliked my 4 spoke wheel initially but now ive had the car a while its fine and suits the character of the car......i dont think a flat bottomed 3 spoke wheel really belongs in an SE/Elegance spec car myself, certainly wouldnt pay for it but hey-ho

24.5k for a boggo vRS TSi estate just doesnt seem right IMO; nearly 26k for DSG.....not particularly cheap now are they!! Only a matter of time before demand for these cars eases off and better deals can be had I think.

That said be surprised if the Golf GTi etc isnt similarly inflicted.

Another £440 hike, add to that one at the start of the year (ish). It's gone up a fair bit since release.

..and I thought the £ was getting stronger, so VAG are making even more...

Glad I took the plunge in October for the 0% with 5% discount.. Beginning  to look like the correct call. Not that it was intentional, I also missed the early adopter syndrome.

Agreed, it's gone up twice since I ordered, and I don't even know when mine is getting delivered yet.

With the price increases and discount i've essentially got all my extras for free now (at least i can tell myself that). Add on 0% and servicing then it makes it look like bit of a bargain last year, despite the delays.

Oh yeah, they really weren't kidding when they said buy before the year is out, this bargain boat is sailing. All models seem to have moved on in both price increase and incentives decrease.

Will there be electric seat adjustment with memory for vrs models available?

Doesn't look like it from what I can see

Looks like I was wrong - if you spend a fortune on leather seats for the vRS and a few other things you can have memory seats

It's always week 22 across all of VAG. My dealer will be sending me the list of changes when they get them so I will post it up here in due course.

What date is week 22.

What date is week 22.

16th June is week 25, so 3 weeks before that... 26th May (bank holiday week).

I ordered a VRS at the beginning of April and have been given a provisional build week of BW26. Looking at this, I should get a 2015 spec car, shouldn't I? I hope so, I like the squared off steering wheel. I had one on a Leon FR I had, and didn't have any issues with it at all.
