How did you source yours Brimma?

A fellow Brisky member alerted me to a full LE interior being advertised on ebay at a VAG scrappy in Essex, I snapped their hands off at the BIN price, then sold my standard ones, so in all it cost me about £400 to change

It's got to be at least that long, probably longer

I wish id had the funds or my credit card at the time and they could have been in my car now, would have saved all this hassle lol! Cheers.

I don't want to rub it in, but the real thing are cracking seats

I can't believe what **** they sent Gathy, just like a box full of tat  :(

Maybe, like suggested earlier, we had a secret watcher and they just done it to tip him over the edge

Had a sneaking suspicion these where too good to be true. :(

Anyone investigated fitting Passat or Golf leathers?

Cows seem to manage OK all the year round clad in hide. And how many do you see clad in nylon, alcantara or cloth? JMTPW as an owner of 2 Skodas retrimmed in leather by Seat Surgeons. :)

Yeah, but the bit we sit on is on the outside and the blood keeps it regulated warm... where on earth do you live where the cow's have hide on the inside?! :)

I hope nobody minds me sending the following to the company in question but I'm absolutely gutted and livid that fellow members have been dealt such a bad deal. I was really getting my hopes up as I love how the seats look so my apologies in advance if my anger got the better of me as I have spilt my thoughts to them on ebay:

Hi,

Just to let you know that there were at least 10 of us looking to do a group buy with these seat covers on the basis that a member of our forum reported back to us with positive feedback on their quality and genuineness. This member subsequently had an appalling experience with your communication and quality/finish of work resulting in us deciding not to waste our money with you. Your listing is misleading and does not state that they contain imperfections and very poor workmanship, it is such a shame that you have used the Skoda brand to sell failed quality controlled goods which you have clearly avoided saying in your listing. The member even has items missing from the contents stated in the listing, I am quite frankly disgusted that you can trade like this with the service you have provided, what a shame it's a bad day for ebay!

How comes no one has left neg feedback to warn others?

I'm not leaving any feedback at present. I'm still going to fit mine and would like to give the seller the opportunity to rectify the relatively minor problems with my kit.

If this happens, I will be very happy for £200!

My front seats are faultless.

The LE seats are stunning and I can see why people would want them but personally I wouldn't want the "limited edition" wording stitched in unless it actually was an LE or if there were substantial other exterior mods.

Couldn't tell from the ebay pics whether these were genuine and the stories seemed plausible. The seat tag/hole location seems pretty definitive though (aside from any other quality issues)

I don't think I'd have gone down that line actually, not having bought the item

Fair enough for a buyer to respond in that manner, but not a third party who hasn't had first-hand experience of the goods

Just my opinion though

I think this is the issue as some kits will be ok others faulty and some even missing bits. It's hit and miss so very annoying for any potential buyer when the description in the eBay listing only states the positives!

My issue is that I was seconds away from buying these myself but spotted the thread on here and went along with the group buy as I needed the side bolsters, I'm just gutted as I love these seats and feel bad for the individuals who are getting a bum deal!

Sorted that buddy. was going to wait till i got my money back as i believe there's only us that was going to buy them anyway.

If it was any sort of reputable company they would respond to emails they would have quality checked what they are posting out to customers, even if they are undisclosed rejects, you pick out the perfect sections to get a faultless kit.You advertize the correct parts you have to sell and then bin the faulty parts, its not rocket science.

I believe these are a batch of rejects/returns from the original fitters/suppliers because they are only shipping out the parts Skoda would have had made for the VRS to LE spec up. as the standard headrests are leather, centre armrest is also leather.

If they quality checked the bits we wouldn't have had this **** posted out and they could have made 50 good sets out of the claimed 200 they have.(50 x £200 =10k ) what the **** are they playing at,do they honestly think people are that stupid they would just fit them etc ! i can honestly say this is my worse ever ebay purchase by a long way

bow your head in shame Auto-Kit. AKA  = Inka and Cabincraft

What a shame......Brimma you were right again!!

On a brighter note, I fitted my fronts today. First one took a good few hours to work out, the second one was much quicker.

Pics to follow shortly.

You must have had the best set!

It does seem I've been very lucky.

The fronts seem faultless except for missing holes for the headrests and lumbar, but that was easily sorted.

Anyone else taken delivery since the initial batch?

Nice one, I'm gonna be so jealous because I really wanted these, shame it's so hit and miss!

I've just noticed this on the ebay listing:

"This seller is currently away until 02 Jun, 2014, and isn't processing orders at this time. You can add this item to your Watch List to purchase later."

Maybe they've gone to Bangladesh to do a little 'Quality Control' after all the bad press :wonder: .
