The fact is most coppers were bullied at school.

Give them a badge and massive chip on the shoulder syndrome and they are a ****er with a bit of power for once

Considering a career in stand up Jase? you made me laugh out loud there.

Is it the car that is attracting all the attention

The last time was because I'd caught him up through a series of bends so in his opinion I must have been speeding. It's a 60 stretch which I keep to 60 as a few have had accidents lately. if you get the lines right it's easy to hold 60 through most of the bends in the vRS so I didn't see a problem with it. Visibility is pretty good and I'll always keep to my side of the road unless there's good line of sight.

So, over a series of bends you decided it was best not to ease off and instead continue at 60mph even though the officer was slowing down and you were catching him up?

You state the road was subject to accidents lately, probably best to ease off and round 'high speed' bends. I wouldn't worry about the average bit, it was utter tosh and simply to make you think.

Sounds like the giant chip on the shoulder is yours!

Haha no just an observation

I once got lifted for having a sly wee down a back alley on a night out.

Coppers proceeded to cuff me behind my back. Plonked me in the back, wouldnt fit the seat belt and took me on a 10 mile country drive to the police station.

The were going round the bends at about 80mph, basically to throw me about in the back. I pointed out to them that there was no emergency and to abide by the speed limit.

There reply.....

Mate i can do what the **** i want.

So you have a chip on your shoulder because they caught you breaking the Law, and commiting an act of Public Nuisance and possibly indecent exposure.

Get over it!!

Sorry grandmother!

Jeez go and read a bible

My commute to work starts at 3.30am so roads are dead. The time I go home varies. Lately it's been more sensible but has been anything up to 11pm where again roads are dead and safe to push on. My problem is now I know the road so well I can take corners and good speeds but all at the limit. But like in this case I've caught him a lot quicker than he thought I would.

Your commute starts at 3:30 am at 11pm you are heading home showing all and sundry your driving prowess! If the hours are as you suggest and heaven forbid that I suggest you exaggerate  then after such long hours do you think you are as alert as you say you are?

Should you be driving at all?

Since your supporters in their misguided wisdom are quoting ROSPA, take a look at this:

In fact I shall edit my post and say what most are probably thinking even though I will be slated for it. As your subsequent posts dig you in deeper and deeper you come over as a complete knobend.

Knew I should have known better than to mention speed on here.

I have had nights where I've had late finishes like that. If a system goes down I can't just go home and leave it. It needs to be fixed so production can continue and since my place of work isn't a hotel I drive home like anyone else would. At no point have I ever felt tired behind the wheel. If anything I feel more alert as I love driving and it's my main source of enjoyment lately.

You've never met me and quite a few members here have. I've driven on public roads and on track with quite a few of them and at no point have any of them said anything bad about how I drive. Believe it or not I do pride myself on driving well and it's great to socialise with like minded enthusiasts.

I always look at myself and how I can improve as a driver so I asked a few others in work had any of them been pulled lately and quite a few had, some for crap reasons like mine too. If I've done something silly then fine. It's a fair cop. But catching someone up through some bends and getting pulled for it is bonkers.

But as I've said before I have been thinking of selling the car for something different. Perhaps is now a good a time as any...

Some Policeman just seem to guess at car related things.  My Bosses youngest Daughter was pulled over the other week and the Policeman told her that her offside rear tyre only had 200 miles left in it and to get it changed.  He didn't measure anything on it, just looked at it and was intimidating towards a young driver whilst he was doing it.

I looked at that tyre 100 miles later and at it's lowest point I measured the tread at 3mm.

:o

Found guilty without trial by the usual suspects who NEVER EVER commit the odd sneaky motoring offence  I'm afraid.....not that you have anyway it seems, and I for one believe your tale of woe.

Just be extremely careful what you post and say in here, or you get toasted.

(off topic, but do you want to buy a TVR by chance?  )

Any tales of knitting to enthrall us all btw?

I could rant about my daughter getting stopped in the full B's & T's dramatic fashion with cars jumping onto the pavement to get out of his way as he bore down on her ( Iknow 'cus I was driving my car in front of hers)  for alleged no road tax.

The aggresive tone and mannerisms of the young scuffer had to be seen and  heard to be believed.

Miss R was very close to tears and bloody petrified. :@

Nuff said or I'll get another toasting.

Oh, the car was taxed btw, much to his obvious disappointment. :D

If i posted half of the stuff i've done you'd think i was the devil incarnate.

Too many do gooders that have never stepped out of line!

Get out and get drunk or something, have a pi55 in a backalley and get into a fisty-cuff's over a spilt pint.

Then the next day take your car out (after you have sobered up) have a smoke and hit the rev limiter. Maybe run a rabbit over aswell for good measure

Do it you know you want to :)

So basically you got yourself lifted for having too big of a mouth and now you come on here crying about it. Never mind fella.

Doesn't seem to be a 'hide behind the sofa' emoticon in here unfortunately.

Ahem, can this get back on topic instead of spiralling out of control due to one comment about not being a goodie 2 shoes.  Thanks!

I'll have to have a clean up I suspect!

I wouldn't worry too much about it - a lot of people press on after hours and the police know it, hence spotting you with LEDs maybe?

I am guessing it's the car being spotted first resulting in a rollocking.

I have and do straight line corners if I can see clearly and it makes for quick progress... the amount of people that copy you is amusing!

I have got to come clean here, before I retired this happened to me twice, once by a Police van, once by a Panda, both times I was driving on bendy roads, both times I was on the speed limit but not speeding, the young Constable just warned me the road had been responsible for lots of accidents and was very polite and efficient, then he laughed when he found out I was a Traffic Cop. The older Constable in the van (different occasion and Force) tried to rip me a second Sphincter, he pulled me for doing everything except murder. I told him to report me or let me get on my way, out came the producer and he asked my occupation....... Then it was my fault for not identifying myself to him straight away wtf has his attitude got to do with my occupation. As in everything, good guys, bad guys, I just hope the van driver didn't become a Tutor Constable training sprogs, although I do believe his Guv'nor might have had a word :giggle: .

And Jase, I wasn't bullied at school I was  a Bub* even at school

*Big ugly bast...

Nah fella thought i was usain bolt you see and pegged it

Guessing you have never been under the influence and made a bad judgement call?

Can we get some 'briskoda saint' badges made up? Few members wanting a wee badge. Or maybe a trophy for the mantle place??

So basically you got yourself lifted for having too big of a mouth and now you come on here crying about it. Never mind fella.

no, he got lifted for having too small a bladder :D
