Blyton Park Track day - 3rd August - From

Featured Replies

Why would you be scared to borrow a car? I ran the wifes Fabia a few times on track. TBH I just told her, I am taking your car and if there is a problem with that, tough, live with it.  :D        and then I said, can I borrow your car love? I have to call at a mates to collect some stuff......  :p

Usually I got the car as long as it came back with petrol in she was happy.

I notice a few potential track day candidates need a helmet, I will have a spare with me, my lad will use it when passengering but it is up for loaning out if anybody needs it.

I also have a spare helmet. :)

Good as I don't!

The first person to book and pay and say "Jason I bagsy your spare helmet" can use it! :D

Likewise.

There are helmets at the venue too. There maybe a small fee for them, typically is. Something nominal ( £5 ) if at all.

Cracking price for the day, which allows for actually spending some of the day in the meet.

Thought there would be some helmets available at the track, there is at every circuit I've been too.

What has "test 4" done to warrant honorary status?!  :D

Colin,

Is this something you could query with them?

Did anything get worked out regarding another sharing one driving pass with 2 cars?

My friend with the Monaro might want to come, but I know the idea was to keep it Skoda only on track?

At the moment with the price, timing and subsequently the 'bookings' so far it's an open day. I'm giving it a few more days before fully pushing on other VAG/Marques...

Monaro; V8, is a bucket list car, might have to be extra nice :) So was a v12 xjs till I borrowed a v8 xjs for a x country run.

I'm only just beginning to wake up fretting about it :) The national day/track that is, not my bucket list.

You can share, that will be 'shared' on the day; token/totem system as discussed loosely previously.

Will double check on spare lids. I know there are some there as I saw them, but will confirm!

Not a lot, testing... forget I've got so many personalities to test, had about 40 odd combinations to test after a patch.

I think you've already got non-Skoda owning Brisky members going though?

Remember that V8 Monaro, passed it a few times in the diesel Yeti at Castle Combe. :giggle:

Never seen such small front brakes on a big engined car.

At the very least it sounds better now with the exhaust sorted. So loud in fact that it may not pass the noise tests.

That would be a shame.

Yes, the Golf has slipped in under the radar  :notme:    I suppose we can all be safe in the knowledge it is of the same DNA just don't look too closely.  :peek:

Ohh well Fabia drivers have armrests from Golfs that's enough of a reason ;)

From the off it's a members day... I may of implied Skoda only if we hit a wait list...But only if I sold out really quickly which isn't going to happen.

Basically if you're a member on here you can book it, Skoda or not.

As of now, if you're not you can still book/deposit/pay, just call me 07900 826 OneZeroOne :)

Any places left?

If read correctly it is Sunday 3rd August in the middle of nowhere? ;)

Blinkin heck Jabo, where have you been hiding?

Would be good to see you at Blyton if you go?

James, too busy with work and life with lots of medical problems in the family so didn't really feel like spreading the misery and being a grumpy sod :).

Since I caught the track day bug big time I thought I will turn up my fat derrière at this meet. If poss my friend in Nissan (same as at HowFast) would love to come as well:).

Wherever you have been it is good to have you back.

Colin has stated above the track session is open to members of Briskoda, I am sure if he opens an account he can enter his car.

Ah, I knew there was a simple way to sort it out :). He's gotcthe bug as well, bad enough he migjt be turning up in GT-R lol. Would be nice to take the monster for a spin! I bet passenger rides will be offered :).

And yes, I had a hard year and a half, not getting any easier but I am getting used to it now...

I am glad the "the old guard" is going strong !

Having been the person ripping around with Skodas in a GT-R I'd be nervous being in the Skoda with an unknown quantity in a GT-R.

Quite a speed difference and I don't think Blyton is particularly wide is it?

It is not... considerably narrower than Coombe.

Aww, GT-R?  I was hoping to be able to keep the 370Z behind me, again! :D  :P

Fair point. However, the last time we were on a track together with 45 other cars, most of them slower than my vRS there was no problem whatsoever and the teack was very wet and greasy. Anyhow, GT-R is not there yet, could be shortly, depends on many things. If organisers and majority participants object then case closed :). Mind you, we do have some ridiculously fast modded Skodas here as well ;).
