Blyton Park Track day - 3rd August - From

Day is open to all.

I've been on days with 911's mixing with pug 205's and caterhams hiding behind mondeos... all are welcome. The track is wide enough to overtake on the straights without fuss which is normal track day rules.

If you're smart you leave yourself space. As it's not timed you can slow on the straights and enjoy the corners, slightly less wear on brakes = longer session :) too.

So please spread the word :)

I'll be doing a mass mailing this week as a final promotion before heading to other sites.

Can I ask how many spaces are left on the day Colin?

I'm trying to get my brother to commit to something, but it's easier said than done and I don't want to miss out.

Plenty by the sound of it..

Ah, I see now... Make it 38 as me and my friend will be coming.

I have also just booked in using the link in post 1.

Track pass and 20 minute instructor session so I know where I'm going...

Thanks to you all for signing up. Closer to the date, a pack.letter will be sent with more info. In essence the info from above and a reminder on bringing driving lic both parts, some form of helmet ( Bike or open face ), car and being there for briefing at 9am ;)

Circular email to all registed Briskoda members?

Sent one end of May to all freedom. In keeping with the Freedom first on all events.

Round to all will be going later this week for national and track, just preparing new email sender account for the deluge, well 110k.

Problem is so many duff emails hurts reputation and knocks main delivery, so rock hard place. Going to have a bit of a tidy up soon, remove zero post, inactive accounts.

Oh right, I must have missed that one.

:) Yes I think we're still getting flagged as spam by some ISP's. It had a 50% open rate.

Hopefully a few more dotted t's and crossed i's from today's work will get us going cleanly again. Hence the more bad emails I send to the more we degrade... just mind numbing work to edit accounts and remove email notifications.

I'll send it again, but most freedom members I think have seen this and read it as they are the more active visitors :)

To be honest it sounds like a PITA.

More work you probably don't need, but a cull of unused/dormant accounts is probably a good idea.

Anyway, if there are unused spaces that need filling I'll throw it round a few other forums I'm a member of if that's acceptable.  In July.

I'm waiting for payday. Still 2 weeks then I'll get booked :)

I'll hopefully come along to this in my Clio 172, never done Blyton Park before and weekend trackdays are hard to come by during the summer!

Could post it on Pistonheads?

Tom, possibly yes, I'm not sure about Pistonheads rules. I've not been on there for about 8 years. Funny how running a forum puts you off others :(

Clios 172, very nice :)

We have the option of altering the circuit layout over lunch. IIRC Richard has 3 options. We can take a call /vote on the day if it's going well.

As pay days are approaching, don't forget the 30% deposit option. I'm not expecting a sell out rush tomorrow though ;)

Turns out Ford Fair is on the same day... typical.

If there are spots left on the 1st July as planned I'll still punt them around though.

I don't really use pistonheads, but if you make a post that looks like it might be selling/promoting it's deleted pretty quickly!

Are passengers allowed on track?

Is there anywhere to store stuff while on track?

Thinking of camping, not many hotels nearby.

Yes passengers usually come in at about £10 to the circuit, your stuff will be safe in the paddock with everybody else's and I am also thinking of camping, so if you find somewhere shout up  ;)

If you have anything valuable you want to leave behind when on track I will have my tow car there which can be locked up, my track car is trailered to the event.

Cheers James.

Just noticed this is the same weekend as the BTCC at Snetterton - got a dilemma now!

No dilemma it has to Brisky Mega Meet every time. I mean would you rather watch a bunch of charlatans play dodgers with works touring cars or would you rather get your pulse racing and go and race yourself?

I would rather be there myself having a blast.

Will likely be at this, BTCC can be recorded and watched later. Mega meet cannot.

Problem solved.

Or one can take a friendly internet enabled device with them and watch it there :) preferably when not hooning around the track!

Perhaps we could all convoy to Snetterton and follow in the footsteps of the tool that drove onto the live track at Brands and join in the BTCC race? ;)

I personally want Race 1 as there is less contact due to them wanting to get through the 3 races...

Disclaimer: ** obviously all of the above is said in jest and I wouldn't dream of driving onto a live track unless I was supposed to be there :) **

Saw on daToobe, couldn't believe it really! Do you know what charges the driver is having brought agaisnt him? False imprisonment amongst others as passenger (can you believe it?!?!) was begging the driver to stop and let her(him?) out!

Not the topic for it but I believe it was false imprisonment for which hes been bailed and the drivers of the Fun Cup are apparently sueing him for their entry fees at £4000 per driver, I'm sure it said that equated to about £104,000 + legal expenses.

Hopefully the judge will ban him from all circuits as well.
