fuel consumption and improving touches

Featured Replies

After 21000 Km on my YETI 1.4 TSI (122BHP)  my average fuel consumption is 7.3 litres per 100km, that is 13.7 km/l.  I would say 80% motorway and the rest in town or country roads. Please post your consumption for diesel versions .....

Incidentally I would like to point out what an improvement in aesthetics is given by adding some chrome trims on the lights as I have done (see pictures), I was hoping Skoda would add them on the new version but they probably want to keep it clearly under the Tiguan for look refinement...pity!

Dear Kenny I am not a vRS wannabee, it's simply that I don't like when car radiators are boringly symmetrical and could not think of a better badge to add.......at that stage I hade to coherently repeat on the back....it's just a matter of style, after all I am Italian and I work in Luxury....unfortunately the L&K version that you have is not available in Italy but I do envy you for those interiors.....

Ciao!

.......still about style.........I wish the odometer and the radio display would be in the Skoda green and not in that white or pale blue that makes it a salad of colours....Another small touch is to add a micro badge or something between the radio and the air conditioning controls unless you have the chrome framed version............just a few pence touches make such a difference but I have alredy said I am afraid they want to keep the VW Tiguan clearly above the Yeti........

bye bye

you can have a 3rd party chrome ring around your cup holder......for £70. Amazing that to think the complete spare wheel, its packaging and tools is only £150.

There is a chrome cupholder surround frame on ebay for 99p currrently (no bids).

Before you get your coat, this Yeti owner makes it a bit more than that...

(Don't tell him Pike!) :giggle:

I have worked out that in mpg it is 38.7......but I must admit that as soon as I decrease motorway mileage mpg reaches around 36.5

Basically fuel consumption is ok up to 75 mph that is around 120 Km/h, from 130 Km/h consumption increases considerably and there opens a gap compared to diesel engines........

LOL. Did it on my phone while waiting to pick a prescription up so could have been finger trouble, old timers, or stupidity on my part.....

Off to find my coat after I've put my shoes and socks back on

46mpg genuine (not on board computer that is optimistic) for our TDi CR110 Yeti over 20,000 miles of mixed motorway and regular, shorter semi-urban commuting trips.

Enhancements:

- Chrome tail pipes (good!)

- rear door foils (bring it up to later specs)

- door sill protectors (look good!)

- rear bumper guard / scratch protector

All of which the specialist independent dealer who sold it to me noticed straight away when I took it in for its second MoT last week.
