Help needed with fitment!

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

So the thing is that I grabed a set of RH AG Cup r17 8j ET32 wheels for the summer, but I just can't make my mind up about what size of tyres to choose? My Octy is now on JOM coilovers (yes, they're not the best, but it was an old wish to try a set of coilovers) and I'm already rubbing a bit in turns with my 205/65 r15 6j ET38 winter setup. So since we have a lot of beautiful low Octavias here, I would like to get some sugestions on what tyre size should I select for my new wheels? Currently I'm thinking about 205/50 (it's a high profile, but it's a daily driver and the roads aren't in a good condition where I live). :)

205/50/17 is oem vrs size

Or 225/45/17 is a widely used tyre

Being a et32 they will sitba smidge further out

Maybe a 205/50 to keep it a bit more narrow bud

Depends how low u wana go

Well, the lower the better, but I just don't want to throw my money away for nothin. 225/45/17 could be an option, but a fully loaded car (3 passangers +their stuff) is a offten ride type for my car and I think it would be too wide and rub my inner fenders. If the 205/50/17 would sit nicely under the arches under load with no rubbing it's surely the way i'd go. :)

Ofcourse, i'm not sure if I wont need spacers with 8j ant ET32?

Na mate, most will run et35 8j rims

If ur not picky on tyres u could look into the nankang as-1

Its a narrow tread so fits fine but has a factory stretch look which buys some room

Just found a mindblowing discount (65% off) on 205/50/17 hankook ventus v12 evo and took them. Hope it will sit nicely and won't rub a thing. Would be a pitty to ruin a new set of tyres.
