oh dear.

Think I've upset him now, as when i told him that the number printed on the inside of the unit doesn't actually refer to the Disklok key code, and is indeed only given on the tab that's provided when you buy it, he's just replied....I DO NOT HAVE THE KEY NUMBER!

I'll take that as a no then ey?

  • More info on Moggy required.    I had this a few years ago...     I'd go for a full steering wheel cover (Disklok) in the correct size to make life awkward for a thief.

Stuff him. Snot bag.

By the time I've bidded on the starting bid of £45, and probably outbid several times, driven a 50 + mile 'round trip, sent the key off for copying and other general faffing about, I could have bought one directly off Disklok for £99.99 including p&p.

No brainer really. Job done

Do Halfrauds sell them d'ya know?  :wonder:

Don't think so, but my mum has had as many as 4 of 'em at any one time

She lives in a scummy town with bad crime and yet she leaves her patio doors

wide open all day while she and my dad are at work (so the dogs can go outside

for a wee.)

If you have the worlds biggest gonads then you might

stand half a chance of getting away with walking into her house although I

suspect they still might just be the first things the dogs eat.

All joking aside,  she has the only house in her terrace that hasn't been burgled

at some point in the last 15 years so I guess they the devil dogs do serve a valuable

purpose.

A simple alarm and a decent steering lock would probably do tbh. You can only do so much to protect it, if someone wants it, they will have it regardless of what you do.

I remember when i was about 8 years old and staying at my nan & grandads in sheffield. We woke up to find my grandads dull green nissan sunny had disappeared. The police found it parked up in sheffield city centre a few hours and bought it home. My grandad was baffled because he fitted a gearstick/handbrake lock. When the police bought it home they showed him that by pulling he handbrake up a few notches and unscrewing the gearknob the lock was gone lol. My grandad spent the day super glueing his gear knob on and installing hidden switches to stop it starting. Sheffields finest had it off again the week after so he bought a L-reg primera not long after. He retired early from his bus driving job

Well on our way on that count now.  :sun:

Disklok is hopefully going to be our new security friend shortly.

Long term of no useage, and the dissy cap is going to be left just slightly undone.

Having leccy ignition fitted, so messing with the points and rotor arm is not going to happen.

Still no bids for Mr Grumpy.

Starting bid set too high imo.

I'd probably have had that if it was £35 even with just one key and associated faffing.
