Camshaft and crankcase correlation fault

Featured Replies

Hi lads ,

I was wondering has anyone dealt with this problem before, im getting two faults, 1 is a temp sensor and the other is crankcase and camshaft correlation fault, its a vrs mk1 with 109k on the clock, the timing belt and chain look fine and theres no timing issue, someone said it may be the sensor but when checked it was fine or the engine has a build up of sludge.

Any help on this would be great as i dont fancyb throwing a shed load at it to chase a problem

Thanks

Ter

I've seen this fault twice before on the 1.8 and both times the timing belt was on one tooth out.

Thanks I'll check it out tomorrow

i've seen this fault before too but on the 2.0 8v engine, it was caused by the timing belt being too tight

I may change the belt and sensor thanks

I had the same after I had my belt changed.

Took it back and it was out.
