too late now! it struggles to get to 30mph on the flat, so i dont feel its right to drive it on the road haha.

 

bearing in mind the video i put up yesterday was in 2nd gear foot flat to the floor and it was very slow indeed!

Can't be as bad as the old Cvt one that would get to 45 but slow to about 7/8 for every hill

oh it is, and its loud enough knocking too to have people looking at me as i drive by!

Haha a regrettable purchase by the sounds of it! Ours lasted 16 years at least in the ownership of my parents! 1.3 that was!

It has been interesting, its clear the car was designed to be cheap back in the day, and that has some perks regarding how cheap and simple it is to work on, just a shame, everything is trying to break. that said thats more age related failures then anything else.

 

I wanted it to last 5-6 months, then it would have been just as expensive to run as the Citigo in terms of finance, insurance and running costs. but it has not lasted 2 months.

I have enjoyed it despite its many short falls, and to quote Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels "Its been emotional" lol.

I meant whilst working you've got enough cars up there already! You 2 both know your Fabias well, on the 1.2 HTP is there a cover over the alternator wire and if so how the hell do I get it off as there is a lack of visibility from above
