Nothing nearly as exciting as most of you lot:

81 Fiesta 1.1 GL

82 Golf 1.5 GL (fantastic)

86 Scirocco 1.6 GT (talk about unreliable - never buy a car from your sis!)

86 Fiesta 1.4 Ghia

93? Nova SX TD (good engine, shame about everything else)

94 Tipo 1.6 SX i.e. (appetite for bulbs and oil etc)

00 Polo 1.4 TDI

04 Fab vRS

Also had regular use of a 94 Metro 1.1 (better than I'd have expected, apart from the driving position) and a 96 Punto 90 ELX (pretty good too)

After all those ones at about 75PS (or 53 for the 1.1 Fiesta), the Fabia is a bit of a culture shock!

Cars owned since he tender age of 16 (1992)

1976 BL 850cc Mini Deluxe

1980 BL MG Metro Turbo

1990 Rover 214 SLi

1994 Peugeot 306 XRDT

1995 Vauxhall Cavalier CDX V6

1999 Vauxhall Astra SRi

1990 Vauxhall Nova GSi

1993 Vauxhall Nova GSi

1990 SEAT Ibiza System Porsche

2004 Skoda Fabia vRS

1999 Skoda Felicia Fun Pick up (still own)

1995 Skoda Felicia LXi (still own)

 I love the 'System Porsche' bit. Forgot about that!

Lancia Thema Turbo (220bhp) (probably the most loved car I've ever had! same engine as the integrale that some have owned on here.. nearly cried when this one went!' date=' still miss it..)

best of all?! : The Lancia Thema Turbo...

sharky.[/quote']

Have to agree really, they are great cars and surprisingly reliable (for an 80s italian car ;) )

Mine was a bit special and very rare being an 8.32 - for those that dont know it is basically a top spec Thema with all the toys, oh, and a Ferrari V8 :D out of a 308QV (rumoured to have been built by Ducati though?)

I used to love opening the bonnet just to show the disbelievers "Lancia By Ferrari" backed in Ferrari red written on the intake manifold

Interestingly however, I would say your Turbo 4cyl was probably quicker, mine was if memory serves correctly 215bhp against your turbos 220bhp and a lot less weight for you to lug about!

Surely must have been the first production car to come with headphone sockets for rear seat passengers, and telephone preparation!! (not bluetooth obviously, but you could connect your new brick like analogue phone directly into the stereo and enjoy full hands free - in 1988!!)

 I love the 'System Porsche' bit. Forgot about that!

'System Porsche' on a seat???? do explain :)

1.0 Nova (1987) - pov spec.. no headrests, passenger wingmirror or parcel shelf. - Died from big-end failure

1.05l Polo Coupe (1984) - i loved this car, was in mint condition, metallic black with every recept it ever used! - Wrote it off in a field due to some ****** in a landrover.

1.1 Fezza (1988) - bought for

Seat were always fond of putting those silly stickers like 'Seat F2 World Rally champions 1992' etc on their cars. The engine in Lummox's motor was apparently designed by Porsche. A big selling point for Seat at the time. The car didn't of course drive or perform anything remotely like a Porsche. Seat owners were quick to point out the sticker on the back window. The car didn't have any redeeming features from what I can remember.

No offence Lummox
