That would definitely help :D  :D  :D .

Thanks, that sort of helped. I can now see A5 (never in doubt, I presume, given I have a vRS with Lane Assist), but I must have cocked up one of the inputs as it still doesn't show in the Lights set up menu. Have to have another look tomorrow.

The first part of coding (09) takes care of menu option under Lights, so check that.

Thanks for the tip :)

What is your feedback? Did that do the trick?

Thursday or Friday will be VCDS Day :)

All sorted , thanks - much gratitude to yourself and andyvee for all the various procedures.

Hi,

I need help with CH/LH adaptation. I have OIII Ambiente 1.6. Light switch doesnt have AUTO position. I tried with VCDS:

  1. (8)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Lichtfunktion C 6
  2. Wert kontrollieren: Coming Home oder Leaving Home akti
  3. (10)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Dimmwert CD 6 auswählen
  4. Wert auf 0 anpassen
  5. (11)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Dimming Direction CD 6 auswählen
  6. Wert auf minimize anpassen
  7. (8)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Lichtfunktion C 7
  8. Wert kontrollieren: Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv
  9. (10)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Dimmwert CD 7 auswählen
  10. Wert auf 0 anpassen
  11. (11)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Dimming Direction CD 7 auswählen
  12. Wert auf minimize anpassen

but nothing happen, still doesnt work. Any idea ? I read that only CH is possible.

Thank for any advise.

Peter

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Because light coding is not needed if you would like to have only CH active through dipped beams. Hope that you have restored the configuration back in the original state.

Only Coming Home can be activated on cars without light sensor.

Hi

thanks for reply. I want to use CH. As you wrote I didnt have a light sensor.

I try to leave the light switch in the headlights on position. When I turn the ignition off the headlights will go off. Pull the indicator stalk towards you once, as if Iam flashing headlights at someone. The headlights will flash and then go out again.

Removing the key from the ignition and open the drivers door, the headlights will then NOT come on and NOT operate as coming home lights and switch themselves off after the preset time.

Can You give me the right configuration, please or what am I doing wrong.

Regards

Peter

Your activation is ok, but first you have to code CH lights.

[09] Central Electronics
Secuity Access and enter 31347
Adaptation channels and set the following:
(1)-Comfort illumination-Coming Home Verbaustatus set to manual

(4)-Comfort illumination-Coming Home Leuchten set to low beam

5)-Comfort illumination-Coming-home Einschaltereignis set to driver door

(2)-Comfort illumination—Menusteuerung Coming Home Verkseinstellung set to Active

And before you do this, please DECODE everything what you have already done regarding CH lights or you will have a nice mess.

Try doing it on Leuchte4 and Leuchte5 which seem to be the supply for the LED DRLs

Thanks Andy, now I can confirm it works :)

DRL's swithched off completely while indicating.

No bulb out warning and instant ON/OFF effect for the DRLs

I also added a new function "lichthupe generell" to "H"...and now I have "stroboscope" passing lights. Looks very cool :D The idea is from a russian youtube video.

Hi mtl,

I set up all what you wrote + my adaptation but still doesnt work. I checked twice if it is everythink ok, but without any change. I dont have LED light.

And another question is if is it possible turn on Anti hijacking in this models OIII and how.

I will quote myself: And before you do this, please DECODE everything what you have already done regarding CH lights or you will have a nice mess.

What you actually did, was enable CH and then told low beams to work at 0% luminosity in CH function. Though parking lights should still work.

If decoding will not work, than you have another problem. I did this already on a few cars and it always worked without any problem. Here is one video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0E5hV9KgAYM&index=2&list=PLfbZtq6EMuEQPDz7qYVi7ZlgceiDQ9k39

And just a suggestion: turn off the car, remove the key from the ignition and then pull the indicator stalk towards yourself to activate CH. Light switch can be on position 0. When you open the doors, CH lights should activate. And of course check in Car Setup that CH is activated ;). Maybe also Factoy reset would be helpfull.

Hi mtl,

now it is working. The advise to check Car Setup if CH is activated was right. Thank you for helping me.

And it is possible to turn on Anti hijacking in this ? I mean autolock all the doors after 15 km/h is reached.

Hi mtl,

sorry my fault, I found autolock all the doors in Car setup. I try to find it in adaptations before.

Thanks Peter

Apologies, I'm stuck with this! How do you get to the below after putting the security code in?!

Go to (2) Assistant light functions - Menu light assistant and change to 'PRESENT'

It is one of the many adaptations.

Ok thanks. I'll play again.

I failed at:

Enabling 2 rear fogs

Passenger mirror dip

Tear drop wipe

However I did enable traffic sign recognition which shows the error but doesn't show any signs!

Also knocked off the bulb out light on LED reg light

I did offer :)

Lol you did thank you but I purchased the cable.

Re read your thread and I think I'm maybe missing off pets of the process.

Mmm

My DRLS now dim to the opposite indicator!

Also, both fogs come on now when coming home lights are on, not a big deal but on the offside only 1 bulb is on!

I'd stop if I were you before you do some permanent damage!

Lol and my high beam assist has a fault!
