How much is it worth?

Featured Replies

What else could you buy for £4k that combines economy, reliability and performance...

Not much, that is why values are strong and IMO will continue to stay strong.

Hmm.....Seat Ibiza FR.....VW Polo/Golf TDI......Audi A3.......BMW diesels......Citroen / Peugeot ( ok maybe not!)....

Do you guys ever look at places like wisebuyers for price guidance ?

Mine private good, thats average miles and 2006/06 quoted at £3,391 according to them. I honestly don't think its far out, I'd probably prefer a bit more but

2004/04 at 61K and they say just under £2900. I honestly think that is on the lower (but maybe more realistic) end.

Here is probably a more sensible search for you (sold listings on ebay, for cars)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=fabia+vrs+2004&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=9800&LH_Sold=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=10&_fpos=&LH_SALE_CURRENCY=0&_sop=12&_dmd=1&_ipg=50&LH_Complete=1

The very highest price one, if you follow the trail of it, he never actually sold it with listing at £3900 no bids. Plenty sold however with the highest "real" sale being £3500 but on the 30K engined car but quite a lot done to it (porsche brakes, water pump and cambelt etc), sachs clutch, the works.....probably a good buy that one

So If I was being honest, I'd say sub £3k....

I'd agree £3k. £4k if you want to be a trader and hold onto it for 4 months.

Those guides imo are totally unrealistic and dont take in account alot of factors i.e desirability.

The majority of those cars on Ebay require tlc are high mileage or have been modified and not one has a FSSH.

I see your point but I feel its worth £4k, decided to keep it anyway
